Need a place to stray away from the crazy crowds at Orchard - Far East plaza may be the best place for a meal .

From cactus Korean cuisine at the basement of Far East plaza - not exactly authentic Korean food but definitely a quick hot and fresh meal .

Ordered the beef soup because I needed something to warm my tummy , this came with a bowl of short grain rice and some Kim Chi.

A assortment of vegetables, egg , beef slices , vermicelli , toufu , straw mushrooms - almost felt like a hot pot meal . You have an option for spicy or non spicy .

Donā€™t expect prime beef cuts of course .
At 6.50, I would say pretty value for money .

Thankfully - I hadnā€™t felt the effects of msg - so thatā€™s very comforting to know .

I love the mee hoon kueh at Green View (level 4 of far east plaza). It is so chewy and soft. You seldom get hand-torn mee hoon kueh these days, and this is one of the best i have had. Sadly, their price has increased from $4.50 to $5.00. It is getting a little pricey to enjoy this... #sgeats #sgfoodie #sgfoodies #sgfoodlover #burpple #sghawker

This stall always has a snaking queue during lunch time and has been acclaimed to be the ā€œbest chye png in Orchardā€. The dishes are warm and fresh, and are not too oily on the palate. Itā€™s the kind of food that reminds you of home. The homemade chili is amazing too!

Itā€™s at level 5.

1 meat + 2 veggies = $5
3 veggies = $4.50
2 veggies + 1 fried egg = $4

one of the largest piece of fish we tried in Japanese restaurant.

It is also very popular for sushi and sashimi. No more seats after 6.30pm. We rate this 8/10.

At Level 5 of Far East Plaza, there is a little shop that offers a good option for mala. I always go for glass noodles and fish cakes because they soak up all the mala sauce, and gives me the spicy kick that Iā€™m looking for.

I like that it is air-conditioned, and having mala in an air-conditioned place is always a good idea.

Now as my stomach is getting stronger (against spice, as what I'd like to believe), I'd order spicy Tom Yum Ban Mian ($5) whenever I can!

This is the place where you are ensured of getting al-dente noodles. Say goodbye to soggy noodles!
