Weekends are my go-to days to explore the different coffee houses in Singapore and this visit brings me to Fahrenheit Coffee Singapore, which is housed within the SPA CLUB along Beach Road. The cafĂŠ has a simple setup with an outdoor and indoor air-conditioned seating arrangement for you to enjoy your coffee and light bites. The cafĂŠ gets their coffee beans that are roasted by The Community Coffee and the beansâ profile rotate monthly depending on the supply, but mainly focusing on single origin beans.

Iâve always wanted to try Cassia JKTâs canelĂŠs, so knowing that Fahrenheit Coffee carries them now meant I was gonna spend a fortune there 𼲠We tried their Kaya, Coffee Butter, and Coffee canelĂŠs, and we found none particularly worth mentioning. Iâm a big fan of kaya so I really wanted to like that one, but while the flavour was very promising the texture was completely like kueh. Iâd even compare it to ambon lol I swear the texture is that similar. This dense, kueh-like underdone textureâs a lot more evident in the Cookie Butter canelĂŠ, with the centre completely congealed into a solid custard. I also couldnât really taste much coffee or cookie butter in the other 2 flavours, and together with the slightly subpar texture we found these completely lacklustre. I noticed Fahrenheit also microwaves these to serve, and that caused the crusts to become a lot soggier; perhaps heating it up in a toaster would be better.
Honestly I thought Fahrenheit Coffee was a rather pretty and chill space, but the slightly confusing spa-mix-french-mix-r&b playlist had us like wuuuuut đś The coffee though: very very decent! We had their Iced Black and Hot White, both of which were alright. Their beans lean towards the acidic end â which isnât my preferred flavour profile but is still aight â the Iced Black citrusy and acidic while still boasting a good boldness. That however meant that their White fell rather flat, since all that acidity was neutralised. Still, good microfoam and texturing of the milk so save for my personal preference this was a rather well-pulled cuppa.
Flat white ($5) â smooth, good roast.
Alternative milk options were Oat milks (Oatly/Minor Figures). This is a great place to relax and just grab a cuppa ~ Would really have loved to try their pastries but didnât get a chance to!

- Flat Whiteâď¸
Nice cozy cafe located at Spa Club, friendly and approachable staff too!
Enjoyed this Sul De Minas, Brazil coffee bean~
Well balanced flat white, medium bodied, almond chocolatety finish.
They also offer non-caffeinated drinks like chocolate, chai latte, matcha latte etc, heard that their chocolate was sourced from Philippines, they also sell Fossa Chocolate if anyone is interested.
They do sell canele, banana cake, sourdough, Swedish cardamom rolls and kaya toast if Iâm not wrong...Was told that they bake their own banana cake~
While they offer limited stuff, but I think this is a good start, focusing on the stuff that they do well.
Wouldnât mind coming back really!
Damage: $5
Checked out the new Fahrenheit Coffee within the premises of SPA CLUB over the weekend for breakfast, which operates just right at the entrance of the spa and taking the space of the reception area. Tried the following items during my visit here:
1) Cardamom Bun;
2) Seasonal Canele (Kaya); and
3) White (Regular)
Thought that the Cardamom Bun probably was the item that left the strongest impression of the lot. Rarely seen in as an ingredient used in western bread, cardamom is more commonly an ingredient used for Indian cooking. Almost akin to a cinnamon bun with swirls of cardamom within the bun itself, I liked how the Cardamom Bun somewhat replicates the flavours of a regular cinnamon bun, but the cardamom brings the notes of spices further considering how its a spice almost akin to cinnamon, but with a stronger punch â a pretty refreshing change, and one that actually helps to emphasise on the spice rather than the usual sweetness associated with cinnamon buns. Also liked how they warm up the buns by default upon order; nothing beats a warm, slightly crusty bun to be had with a cuppa in the morning â something I utterly enjoyed.
Having tried more than a few Caneles over the span of two weeks, I was pretty surprised that Fahrenheit Coffee actually stocks up six different flavours of Canele, including a Houjicha version that is on the regular menu. The Kaya Canele which I opted for is a seasonal flavour â does come with a dollop of Kaya over the top but otherwise almost akin to a usual Canele (not that I am complaining though); I liked how their Canele came well-crusted on the exterior â carried a distinct but mellow bitterness while the interior comes soft and almost kueh-like being chewy but not overly sweet. The dollop of Kaya does help to make the Canele feel like it has a touch of Southeast Asian influence given the kueh-like textures and hint of coconut and pandan fragrance that it attempts to provide, while the Canele felt almost similar in texture and flavour to the ones I loved from now-defunct Le Canele dâOr at Concourse Skyline several years back.
The White (Regular) is a decent accompaniment to the other items I have had â itâs decently pulled using beans roasted by The Community Coffee, and comes with a medium body and a rather roasty and earthy flavour profile; not the best around, but it does work more than just well for a cuppa for convenience.
It seems that the trend for cafes of the late had turned from being full service brunch destinations, to more casual hangout spots with light bites meant to serve those feeling peckish â and Fahrenheit Coffee seems to have gotten that right. Being situated a little further from the multiple cafes at Kampong Glam and the Dhoby Ghaut/Bras Basah area, Fahrenheit Coffee is a spot that cafe-hoppers should check out â also a spot fit for an idyllic hangout at a lesser trekked part of the city.
