Foie Gras Yakiniku Onsen Tamago Don ($22). Loved the buttery foie gras. The beef slices were a tad too tough tho. My personal preference would still be Tanuki Raw.
It was such a wonderful evening where we just caught up, ate and drank. Thank you for the wonderful treat and for bringing us here to sample Chef Keisuke's Omakase.
All pleated up
'Tis' the season now. Instead of serving it in sushi form, Chef Keisuke served it slightly marinated. He told us mix it all up and enjoy. It was yummy! Reminded me of a breakfast I had in Tsukiji where a fellow elderly Japanese diner offered me some iwashi which was served in this manner.
I asked my Japanese friend who hosted us. It was wafer thin omelette with pickled radish and then eaten with more daikon. So simple but so mind blowingly good. If you like chye poh eggs, you will simply adore this super refined Japanese version. This was a sharing portion for two.
This was heavenly. The portions here for the omakase were generous. For small eaters, this may be too much. With a cup of warm sake, this was yummylicious
