Classic seafood jjamppong with prawn, quail eggs and generous amount of mussels.
The jjolmyeon noodles are made from wheat flour that gave a very chewy texture and cabbage are slightly burnt, adding a nice wok-hei flavour to the broth. It comes with 2 levels of spiciness. I went with level 1 and it already has that shiok spicy kick. I guess I would need lots of water if I am to go with level 2.

Ingredients were also abundant and seafood was fresh. We also got a ro ppong roje which was a non-spicy dish, it was more like a pasta edition of the cha ppong, but also pretty good too. Ordered a garlic pizza and the pizza crust was very thin, like a tortilla as was the garlic spread. Served with a small serving of whipped cream, it had seemed like a weird combination - and also tasted weird initially - but the taste does seem to grow on you. Food was good, and wait was not that long, would definitely head back again!

We've been here at least 10 times and we freaking love the food here.
I used to love the ro ppong (pictured in foreground) - cheesy, the noodles have the perfect bite and they are so generous with the ingredients. Really the ultimate comfort dish. However, can be abit jerlat for one person to eat this on his/her own. So we always order a soupy dish to complement with the ro ppong.
My favourite dish now would have to be the cha ppong (pictured in background) - there's just so much dimension to the flavour? The first thing that hits you is the aroma, then you get the intense "wok hei" flavour and thereafter you get the spice and the seafoody flavour. I don't know why I'm getting so emotional talking about a dish, but I really LOVE the cha ppong. Downside though, even the level 1 is a bit toooo spicy for me (but then again I find ๅฐ่พฃ mala too spicy)....
I think the best part about this is that it's 1 for 1 on Burpple Beyond!! Once we finish with the coupons for the jem outlet we're gonna use the ones at Somerset :p
Their drinks are a tad too sweet and slightly pricey, so we usually just order bottled water (cus cha ppong very spicy......)
The creaminess of this dish surprisingly was not too heavy as i would have expected, which is good as it meant that i had no problem finishing it on my own. However, the noodles weren't as good as i remembered. Perhaps also because the noodles were doused in all the cream and thus were kind of soft and soggy and didn't quite have the springy bite i desired.
