The carbonara pizza was so hearty and good! The crispy thin crust along with the béchamel and smoky crispy bacon was to die for!! It was hearty without being to heavy. Kinda sad that the egg in the middle was fully cooked if not we could have dipped the pizza in the creamy yolk.
The mushroom truffle risotto wasn’t as amazing as it sounds, it tasted kinda like it was cooked in a Maggie soup base and it was a little pricy for its small portion.
Must order the pizza dough ball with the garlic butter!

This rendition was definitely unique as the pizza base wasn’t too intense nor that flavourful however the bacon added flavour to it. The saltiness went just right with the base.

To me, their bacon was the redeeming factor - savoury & not overly tough. 🥓 The runny yolk, albeit too small to make an impact on this oversized pizza, imparted a nice eggy aroma to the areas it reached. 💕 Overall this made quite a decent eat. 😋😋😋

That being said, I would totally recommend that you finish this pizza up while it’s still piping hot. 👌🏻 As time passes, the cheese topping & béchamel sauce started clumping up & its texture, coupled with soggy crust, was unappetising. 😔😔😔 It didn’t take long (just 15-20mins) for the entire pizza dough to be tough & unpliable. Trust me, it would not be an enjoyable experience. ❌

xy and myself super recommended to the rest the lobster and crabmeat ravioli which ended up us having 4 orders of this pasta. haha. pizzas ordered were carbonara, hawaiian, a veg and a spicy one.

the ravioli only has like 6-8 pieces of mee hoon kuay. but each mee hoon kuay was packed full of the meat. douse it in the sauce and its super shiok. carbonara was the nicest pizza for me. like cheese naan. lol.

veg was alright. hawaiian was unique with pineapple jam replacing the usual pineapple slices. spicy one called polo forza shall be banned. just spicy which was nobodys favourite.

just remember the ravioli is a must order. and the service here is sibei ups. even though we were the cheapo mega table using one for one offers.

This was really good, unlike the Calabrese. I like how this pizza felt light and fatty at the same time - light from the "cream" flavoured sauce and fatty from the bacon/guanciale. Really like this and will definitely head back to PizzaExpress for this pizza! 👍🏻

When it comes to restaurant names, the term “express” is usually associated with bland microwaved food...but please throw away these preconceptions when dining here!! Pizzaexpress’s pizzas are hand-stretched by trained pizzaiolos and come in many interesting flavors.
A must-get when dining here is definitely their ✨Laksa Pizza😍 Including even obscure ingredients like crispy tau pok & fragrant laksa leaves, each slice captures the essence of laksa in all its glory!! The ✨carbonara pizza came with a jiggly soft boiled egg and lots of bacon - nothing too special in terms of taste. Could’ve done with more of dat creamy béchamel sauce, but maybe that’s just my greed talking😋
