Opened by the previous owners of Karafuru desserts, Kumoya likewise remains a Japanese-inspired cafe with light sweets, aesthetic designs and pretty desserts. We ordered the matcha, yuzu, pistachio and cassis (Christmas flavour) for our petite eclairs. Likewise to Japanese desserts, they were not very sweet (for a massive sweet tooth like me - this wasn't sweet at all, and couldn't satiate my sweet cravings) with flavours remaining light rather than prominent. Have to admit that the choux felt a little too dry for my liking, but nothing a few tweaks can't fix!

I just wanna laze in bed and enjoy these eclairs instead of playing hide and seek with the rain. 😪

Enjoyed the Hazelnut chocolate parfait on top of their signature eclairs.
Yoghurt softserve, panna cotta and chocolate brownie complemented by buttery cookie crumbs, hazelnut and chocolate fudge. Rich, chocolatey but well balanced with the refreshing yoghurt softserve. #burpple #dessertgram #desserttime #dessertlover #dessertphoto #sgfoodies #sgfoodpic #sgeats #sgig #foodieSG #foodgram #foodies #instafood_sg #cafesg #sgcafefood #sgcafehopping #foodstagram #exploresingapore #instagramsg #instafoodsg #eatoutsg #cafehoppingsg #foodloversg #igsgfoodies #whati8today #bupplesg #burpproved #yoghurt

With an interesting menu of Japanese-inspired food, Kumoya is bound to attract youngsters and dessert lovers with their homemade eclairs, macarons, madeleines, pancakes and parfait. That's quite a lot for a cafe, juggling both savory and sweet items!
🔅
The mini eclairs are really delicious. I have to say they fare a notch better than many out there. With their rich flavors, you can really savour the intensity of the respective ingredient used, e.g. coffee eclair has a strong coffee taste. Obviously, not skimping on the ingredients 😁
.
The fillings are generous too, filling up the entire inside of the pastry. It makes one feel satisfied from just savoring something so compact and bite-size yet full of punch 😻.

eclairs were pretty much the same as before, when karafuru first opened its doors... nothing special; just decent.. I guess 😶

Anyway, it's better to skip these teeny weeny choux variety and head straight for their parfait set instead 🤗💕
