A photo that didn't do justice to the croissant OTL. Loved the buttery croissant matched with the chilli crab filling which delivers a nice kick.
Gotta commend the personable service by the staff too :)

For a long time I've held off trying these "lava croissants" cause the idea of something oozesome contained within layers of flakey pastry, in my mind, would inevitably cause those dreamy crisp flakey croissant layers to take a downward turn into a flaccid lump of baked dough.
I was so wrong.
Salted Egg and Matcha Croissants were good, but Chilli Crab Croissants were daaa bomb 🔥🦀😍. 6.5-7.5bucks/croissant

The croissant itself is still crispy, flaky and buttery, revealing fresh crab meat with the rich blend of specially concocted "rempah" and house-made tomato sauce for the perfect sweet and spicy notes. The chilli crab taste is not so overpowering, which you can still get to enjoy the croissant's buttery goodness.

The final three From Antoinette's La Croissanterie Breakfast Series:
- Quatre Fromages 4 Cheeses: with aged Cheddar, Gruyère, Parmesan and Mozzarella —
- Charcoal Kaya Croissant
- Matcha: made using matcha powder from Nishio in the Aichi prefecture of Japan
Out of these three, I enjoyed the kaya one the most. Don't come expecting a typical kaya spread though. Instead, think more of a satiny crème patissiere with subtle, but oh so lovely hints of coconut and pandan.
But among all the croissants Antoinette has introduced, the Chili Crab Croissant ($7.50) is still my favourite!
