Soft shell crab bao RM19 - crunchy, big enough crab. Best eaten at the beautiful restaurant bar because chilli crab sauce might dampen the crispy crab
Pork belly bao RM20 - huge slab of pork belly quite fatty, very flavourful with preserved vinegar mustard veggies, also has crispy pork lard
Dumplings RM18 - 4 prawn and pork dumplings, meat is good , sauce is delicious need more sauce.
Japanese sushi rice, fish fillet, broccoli, ajitama egg, edamame, harissa, nanas sauce RM18
This fresh joint in Petaling Street is dropping sweet and savoury baos like no other. A popular order is Pork (RM17) that sees juicy cuts of sake-braised pork belly stuffed between a fluffy bao and topped with peanuts, preserved mustard greens and crispy pork lard. Also good is the Lamb (RM17) with flavourful mutton rendang and caramelised jackfruit. For something sweet, the Matcha Bao (RM14) features Niko Neko matcha and grounded pistachio between two fried bao buns. Psst. They also have a bar and will be rolling out a cocktail menu soon!
So juicy and crunchy! Served with a cincalok mayo and Korean slaw (radish and cucumber), , the latter great to help cut through the richness.
This one sports flavours closer to home. Spicy mutton rendang though a bit tough was very flavourful. Goes great with the caramelised jackfruit.
Think fish and chips but in a bao. Nice piece of beer-battered fish with crispy skin served with a herb-infused tartar sauce and citrus skin. Love the addition of crispy fish skin on top, but wished there was less tartar sauce as it got a bit soggy.
