On an off day I can find myself here at Bishan on a Tuesday afternoon which felt nice. Better yet they serve a good cuppa black coffee at Covet along with BakeHaus croissants that Iβve been meaning to try but havenβt had the chance to head down to Owen road for. My almond croissant was reliable and tend towards a bread like sort of croissant instead of the flaky butter variant, if Iβm make sense.
The place also has a great ambience to get some work done.
Located right next to the Kopitiam is this new clean & minimalistic coffee spot that sticks out due to its clean interiors and gorgeous curves! If you've been there before, you'd get what I mean, if not, swipe left to see more of the space!
Apart from the gorgeous ID (oof that archway), Covet Coffee serves up filter, espresso, teas & an assorted of pastries & cakes. In due course, some light bites will also be made available (but no mains!).
Drinks wise, I had their Hojicha Latte ($6) which came in a gorgeous @origami_cup. The hojicha had quite a depth, with a bitter but roasty aftertaste, making it extremely comforting. Definitely a cup that puts your mind at ease and is perfect as an afternoon tea break.
On the side, their Kouign Amann ($7) is flaky (in a good way), not too sweet and crisp around the edges. A perfect complement to go alongside the hojicha latte.
For coffee lovers, their beans are from TAD Coffee! Haven't gotten the chance to try it yet, but defo will when I visit them again.
P/S: they've got plugs available at their main bench area, if those who are WFH/WFC, you've got yourself a quiet comfortable spot π

Love the filter coffees here and the choices of beans:
The Baba Simba from Kenya that is mixed with blackcurrent, fresh plums and Asian pair serves up a fruity and sour blend that is easy on the palate, and good for light coffee drinkers like me. Also v cool process of prepping the filter coffee ($7, left)
Also, tried the iced Anna Blend, which is a signature and award winning mix of cherries, black forest, dark chocolate and blueberries (from Columbia, Ethiopia and Costa Rica). Very aromatic when mixed with milk and fruity too ($5.50, right)
This cuppa matcha makes me covet for more, and when paired with lilac/white walls and tall glass windows, makes for a chill hangout (and also a good alternative to WFH with it's wifi and plugs available)
The matcha latte is very intense, bittersweet and with the right ratio of milk - not overly sweetened and just the way I like it. ($6)
It's a young team behind this cafe and it makes this neighbourhood a lil more vibrant :-)
Ps the owner highly reco the Hojicha
