It’s my must visit every year! Love how pretty the Super Trees look whenever they are lit up!

Did you guys go anywhere to catch fake snow? Even if it’s fake it’s still fun!

Thus, there is no better way to spend this holiday season than at Christmas Wonderland 2018, Gardens by the Bay. A place to soak in the Christmas spirit, you can’t miss the iconic luminarie light sculptures, the charming festive markets and certainly a firm favourite of mine is to do some festive feasting at SAVOUR.

To warm your heart and fill your belly, this year’s SAVOUR Gourmet Festival concept is refreshed with a new bite-sized format focusing on accessible gourmet comfort food. And my two picks to get at Slice of SAVOUR are none other than Three Buns by Potato Head Singapore’s addictive Naughty Fries and Blue Lotus’ Chilli Pomelo Crab Meat Noodle. Both bringing a little heat to the table, the former was a very sinful heap of hand cut fries topped lovingly with spiced béarnaise, slashes of chilli and fried shallots; while the latter was thin al dente noodles with a generous amount of shredded crab meat in a tantalizing chilli crab sauce balanced by juicy pomelo bits.

Thank you @righthookcommunications for the warm hospitality and @burpple for the invite!

The oolong has a nice hint of smokiness and rose, and a nice selection of fruit in it. A pleasant drink, but for $8, this is probably the first try and the last time for me. #burpple #happitea #happiplaygroundsg

From afar we spotted a super long snake Q formed at SOFNADE Booth! Everyone was holding Meatballs in a Bucket and so we had to try it too! We ordered a $10 Regular Mixed of Chicken & Beef, Brown gravy and Cranberry. Packaging was unique and innovative, served in a plastic bucket with red handle! Bucket is filled with Mashed Potato as base with Twister French Fries and brown gravy.. Top with Chicken and Beef meatballs and cranberry sauce! Taste pretty yummy! Although I find the Meatballs wasn’t hot enough though, would be better if it’s freshly fried hot meatballs! @sofnade @christmaswonderlandsg @gardensbythebay #hungryunicornsg #christmaswonderlandsg #meatballsinabucket #sofnade #meatballs

ROC’s $12 turkey offering sees the big bird roasted and stuffed with chestnuts and pistachios before being served like a roulade. And of course, it’s glazed with a sweet & savory cranberry sauce, because what else would you put on turkey?

The chestnuts and pistachios really gave it a nutty, earthy flavor that just screams ‘Christmas!’ as it rolls around your tongue. The bird is passably moist and not stringy in the slightest, but it was quite bland and was over reliant on the cranberry glaze for flavor.

Honestly speaking, it’s decent, but I’m seriously considering if it was really worth $12.

This roasted Kurobuta pork belly ($12 nett) from either Monti or Meatsmith at the recently concluded Savour at Christmas Wonderland was the most criminally underrated dish there.

A massive portion of pork belly is roasted to perfection, roughly sliced up into mammoth sized chunks, and served with a side of creamy mashed potatoes. Meatsmith really do know what they’re doing with their meats, as this Kurobuta pork belly bowled me right over. In fact, this could easily be the best pork belly in Singapore.

The rind is impossibly crunchy and every bite produces a loud crackling. The fat is wobbly and well cooked, as evidenced by the lack of a porky stench and the fat partially melting in your mouth. The meat is even better, with a superb seasoning job being done on it. The meat is juicy, tender and oh so delicious, and it all forms the perfect belly to get into your belly. It pairs perfectly with the housemade sweet mustard that you can drizzle on the side, and a plastic cup of prosecco .

Thanks for the invite @jonathanwong!
