Choon Kee Roasted Delights (Golden Mile)

I was surprised that this stall actually doesn't have much publicity, because the roasted meats here were really pretty good!

We ordered the 3 kinds of roasted meats for 2 to share ($12) and although the portion size isn't big, we thoroughly enjoyed every single piece!

The roasted pork belly itself has a really satisfyingly crunchy skin, with a well seasoned tender meat underneath. Indeed it is a mystery how they can keep the meat moist, while making the skin really crispy.

They use the pork belly to make the cha shao, resulting in really fatty, tender and succulent pieces that almost melt in our mouths! They were well seasoned too, and not too sweet nor savoury.

The roasted duck were moderately tender and pretty tasty too. The skin was almost crispy.

I must say the meats here are really pretty good! Will be back again if I am around the area 😍

𝘾𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝙆𝙚𝙚 𝙍𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝘿𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 is another hidden gem 💎 in Golden Mile Food Centre. A pretty popular roast meats stall that sells Char Siew, Roast Pork & Roast Duck reasonably priced from $3 onwards. They are easily spotted with a long queue but the queue moves pretty fast, and we highly recommend you to drop by before 12pm to avoid disappointment. Roast Pork Rice is definitely our favourite meat! Roast Pork skin is roasted till superb crispy and crunchy, meat is a lil towards fatty but yet not too oily for our liking, pretty well-ratio! It also goes well when dip into their not too spicy chilli sauce.⠀

Stumbled on this delicious roast meats stall at Golden Mile Hawker Centre while searching for Yaloh Herbal Duck Rice, which later we found out that it closed down. There was a constant queue and the meats were finishing, so we reckon it must be good.

Ordered the char siew, roasted pork rice (SGD5; they have a SGD4 option too)
The pork had a crunchy skin (we loved it) and tender, well salted meat which went well with the white rice and gravy.
The char siew was delicious too, just that the meat to fat ratio was not to my liking. I would prefer a more lean char siew and apparently we can request for a leaner cut (heard the person after me ordering it haha). The char on the meat however was perfect and what I like was the sauce was not too sweet.
Will not specifically travel all the way here for this, but if I was in the vicinity looking for food, this stall will be one of my options.
PS: The ah balling peanut soup stall on the left seems popular too, alas we were too full.

If you like the cantonese roasted delights, you will love this place! The duck, char siu, and roasted pork were all done to perfection! The wait is worth it!

Roasted Duck Drumstick Rice. While the drumstick is more expensive, it is definitely worth it for its superior flavour and tenderness.

Roasted Duck And Crispy Pork Rice ($5):
Duck is roasted and marinaded well, meat is not tough at all. Pork have the right amount of fats and the skin is super crispy! Definitely one of my top 3 go to for roasted meat in Singapore!
