This is probably one of the omakase dining place I would like to revisit. Love the ambience. Simple counter seating, all those beautiful glassware for each dishes. Good interaction with the chef “Do you want the wasabi or pickled wasabi? Pickled ginger or cucumber?” Very fun dining experience and fun menu. (Corkage: RM35)
Bookmark this spot for your next date night for a casual fine-dining experience that wont break the bank. Opt for the Three-Course set for RM70, or the Five-Course for RM170 that feature Japanese-influenced dishes made with local ingredients. Some standouts include the heirloom tomatoes with housemade roselle vinaigrette and the pork belly with soy milk sauce.
Dessert comes in a more savoury form, and as much as I love savoury desserts, I wish this could have been a bit sweeter. Nonetheless, great finish to that outstanding meal.
This meal really took us on a flavour journey, and the best way to bring us back down is with a comforting dish like this one. Felt like we melted into our seats with each bite. Have the pickles with each bite!
My favourite of the night! Love the cook on the pork belly which reminded me so how spam’s cooked – crispy on the outside with crunchy edges and tender in the middle. Really like the idea of the soy milk sauce too – the sweetness helps balance the saltiness from the meat. There’s a dollop of honey mustard given which you must add to each bite! Really brings flavours to another level.
What a delicious and different way to eat yam! It’s so so meaty (in all the right ways) and for its light flavours, goes great with the savoury pork broth (although a bit too salty for my liking). Rice puffs scattered on top provide nice textural contrast against the soft yam. Really enjoyed this one.
