YAY so since Cereal citizen has arrived at the market on wheels at Bedok, this save me a trip from travelling all the way for this cute, pretty and insta-worthy Unicorn Crododo that cost me an arm and a leg at $8. I think i can eat a lot of food at the hawker nearby.

OKAY ANW, so what's Crododo? It's a crossaint in the shape of a donut and it's super
SWEET UNTIL CANNOT TAHAN SO MUST SHARE AH. But the crossaint was legit buay pai but I would rather just pay for a norm crossaint that is more buttery, flaky and MOST IMPORTANTLY CHEAPER

.
Crodo = Crossaint + Donut 🥐🍩. Perfect combo when you can’t decide between having a crossaint or donut! ✌🏻Exclusive to this @marketonwheels event, 2 new flavours of Crodos are launched: Unicorn 🦄 and Mao Shan Wang durian. Personally an anti-fan of the latter hence I shall not provide any verdict on this. However, the mao shan wang durian paste seems to be a hit among the rest, with its presence gone in no time, leaving behind a forlorn and abandoned naked crodo 😅. The unicorn might perhaps be great for the gram and appeal to the kids, with its enchanting visuals. A crisp, flaky exterior coupled with a soft, slightly chewy interior that resembled more of a crossaint than a donut, the crodo is coated with icing sugar glazing, garnished with fruity pebbles and topped off with marshmallows. You can also choose to get a combo by pairing these donut-shaped crossaints with a milkshake or pink soda (swipe to view) that comes in handy as a thirst quencher when the weather shows no mercy 🌞. Not forgetting a huge XXXL size rainbow cotton candy to revive your childhood memories and unleash your inner youth! 🌈 (swipe to the end to view) .
.
Thanks once again to @marketonwheels for the huge and satisfying spread the other day, as well as @kenpgl @singaporefoodlisting for the invite! 🙆🏻‍♀️ Do visit them now at AMK Hub that’s ongoing till 9 September! ✨

The Crododo itself is actually quite soft and flaky but the glaze is just too sweet for me. It does fit the description of being a dirty bun though the as it really gets messy eating this.
PS: Crododo is a combination of a donut and a croissant.

The Milkshake with Crododo Set here gets all the score it can get in terms of aesthetics, but frankly, it is far from cutting it in terms of taste. Their ‘crododo’ is their take on a croissant-donut hybrid. It was unnervingly dry and flaky in texture, and my feeling of aversion was further exacerbated by how overwhelmingly sweet the white glaze was – its taste oddly enough reminded me of a baby milk formula powder’s. Add on the fact that I chose Milo cereal puffs, M&M candies and chocolate syrup as my toppings…my God, that’s a gobsmack of sweetness. 😵

Their milkshake was similarly overbearing in that regard – to the point that the fructose in the banana and strawberries got defenestrated by the arsenal of sucrose as the latter outnumbered the former. 😖

I refuse to completely dismiss it though. Credit where it’s due – the taste does have a very winsome edge to it. I can see it vibing and resonating with the younger crowd. I mean I’ve been told once that the youth generally tend to be drawn to more distinct and pronounced flavours in their desserts, even if that means brazen sweetness. But you know what, this was just…not for me.

If anything deserves lauding, it’s their immense effort at creating a wonderland-esque atmosphere. Plenty of charming, baby pink-awash, decors embellish their two-storey premise, and they also have a play corner for parents to keep their kids amused while they enjoy the food and beverages. The more I think about it, the more I realise how closely the place resembles a dollhouse - well, except the people in them operate on free will. 😂 (6.1/10)

They are open daily from 12pm - 9pm (close on Wednesday). Located at Hougang The Midtown (near the Ah Beng western food stall) previously known as Hougang Plaza. .

They have two storey but the second level are close at 8pm so anybody going with a group of Friends do go early. .

Crododo Milkshake Combo $10.90 each with one crododo and one milkshake! Crododo is croissant in the shape of donut, hence the name Crododo.
I got Chocolate Banana Milkshake with Tresor Crododo topped with M&M’s (additional charge of $0.50 for one topping). My Friend got same milkshake as me, but with Reese Crododo topped with M&M’s. The milkshake was quite thick and flavourful, and the crododo was very soft and fluffy. Definitely worth it! They have a very beautiful rainbow staircase which you can take lots of pictures, and a small kids corner for kids to play.
