ButterScotch is a Halal-certified café hidden in Bukit Merah Central. I personally like this waffle dessert because it is basically a Nyonya kueh morphed into a Western favourite. Rich gula melaka ice cream paired with fragrant pandan waffles, decorated with gula melaka syrup, desiccated coconut and rainbow rice. The lady boss probably could not miss the look of approval on my face.
Just a bit of company while doing work. Tasted quite good for a thirst quencher albeit a little sweet.
Ordered this over Deliveroo and it was AMAZING! The salmon was so well done and tender, and the poached eggs bursted with just a prick! 😋 The packaging is commendable as well :)
They gave me just one egg instead of 2 even though my friends who ordered the same dish did get two eggs!:/ Without explanation they replaced one of the eggs with weird keropok-like crackers. Didn't bother asking why since I knew the meal would fill me up anyway. Chicken and the accompanying mushroom sauce were quite good. Used Entertainer for this, otherwise it is definitely not worth the usual price of $17!
Waffles were really thick and filling! Gula melaka ice cream was quite tasty. However, overall, the dish was a tad too sweet! There are better waffles to try out there definitely. Plus points for the cosy ambience though!
