Itโs a cold and rainy Sunday! Canโt think of something thatโs more suitable to eat at this kinda weather... itโs been a few months and we are craving for army stew from ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐ก๐จ๐ง!! Everything in 1 hotpot, from noodles, to kimchi, luncheon meat, sausage, enoki, steamed rice, silky tofu and chicken meat! Best of all, you could ask for free refill of soup too!! Flavourful and portion is huge for 2 pax to share! Super delicious, not too spicy/sour, definitely one of the few better army stew we had! โ

Got both the soy sauce one as well as the spicy both were amazing but the chicken here tastes a little of a fusion between Chinese chicken wings w Korean seasoning compared to other Korean fried chicken sauce the skin was also super crispy and GENUINELY WAS AMAZING
a little pricier than JINJJA / FOUR FINGERS though :-)
So we decided to go for some Korean style fried chicken. We love Bonchon fried chicken because the skin is crispy, crunchier and the meat is not that oily, compared to the usual fried chickens. The chicken wings are moist, and there is a tender texture to the meat which pulls off quite easily from the bones. โ

They come in 2 different flavours; soy garlic and spicy sauce. If you can't decide between the two like us, you can order half & half, it means a mix of half of each flavours! Soy garlic has a deep flavours of their homemade soy sauce with garlic-y kick. Their spicy sauce uses dried red chilli peppers grounded into sweet and smoky Korean โgochugaruโ and it surely gave us that ๐ถ kick for our taste bud! โ

Out of the many places Iโve tried for Korean Fried chicken, this new found place did not disappoint and deserves a post. I ordered a half-and-half, mixture of garlic soy and chili wings. Highly recommend for anyone who loves good wings๐
Set Lunch for $12.90++, served with some sides (kimchi, coleslaw and preserved radish) and a drink!
My jjigae was served with an undercooked egg, freshly cracked into the soup before being served! Gave it a light stir and buried the egg to have it cooked (i dont fancy runny eggs).
The soup wasn't too heavily seasoned (i.e. not too sweet/salty/spicy), yay! It has 2-3 fat dumplings, some prawns, sotong, tofu &enoki! Really generous amount of ingredients as I was expecting just tofu &kimchi, just like in the usual kimchi jjigae. The rice is fluffy and no sticky clumps. I polished both the soup &rice bowls clean. ENUFF SAID ๐
If you like it spicy, you may want to try requesting for it to be spicier!
