A dry chocolate cake, crumbly rather than moist. Not my favourite dessert and would have done better with some ice cream on the side.
Coffee in an adorable cup. No options for coffee/tea/milk, you get an intense cuppa at the end of your meal regardless whether you want it.
The menu is fixed as an omakase, with no option to go ala carte. Otherwise I'd probably skip this dish on my return. Although pinkish the lamb was not fork tender and flavours were slightly lacking. The other dishes really outshone this.
Alfonsino fish with a saffron sauce. First time having this fish, a little similar to seabass, but most delightful was the generous portion of uni.
A huge slab of foie gras, served with a crispy millefeuille, spinach and duxelle mushroom sauce. Very delicious, although the foie gras was not of a melt-in-your-mouth texture but more like a firm tofu. Every course was a sizable portion you'd expect as a main in any other restaurant.
I hesitate to share about this place, which currently only seats - surprise - 6 people every evening. The food is amazing, and you'll see why reservations are incredible difficult to snag. The starter was a beautifully plated dish of abalone, scallops and ikura, of which the juicy and sweet scallops really stood out.
