Ordered the Bami Sai Gon ($5.50) and was rewarded with a freshly baked baguette filled generously with chicken liver pate, pork ham, stew pork and topped with chicken floss. Every bite is pure joy and the pickled carrots and radish help to cut through the richness, giving it a nice balance of flavours and texture.

🍽️ Bami Express
📍 1 Tanjong Pagar Plaza, Unit 02-02, Singapore 082001
Bami Express is a small eatery at Tanjong Pagar Plaza (#02-02) that specialises in bánh mì, or Vietnamese baguette. I had the Bami Sai Gon ($5.50) which came with pork ham, stewed pork, chicken liver pate and chicken floss. The freshly made baguette is warm, soft and airy on the inside, and crispy and crackly on the outside. I omitted the cucumber and cilantro for personal preference (opps😅) but the pickled carrots and radish is quite refreshing. Yay to a tasty and wallet-friendly lunch!
Grill Pork Vermicelli (S$6)
Topup S$1 for Vietnamese Coffee
A delicious bowl of Vietnamese pork vermicelli for a change from banh mi. Quite thick pieces of well marinated pork. Wish there was a Vietnamese fried spring roll added to it.
A takeaway bahn mi place that freshly toast their own bread! Quite unassuming and seems a little random, but it’s a simple and yummy dish.
Gets crowded during lunch hours!
Quite a busy outlet but service is fast enough not to get put off. My Bami was delicious- a good balance of meats and veggies in the crispy baguette. Would definitely repeat my visit for banh mi or bowls.
