It lived up to its fame. A lot of peanut sauce to go with the well-done beehoon. Too much cuttlefish for my liking but that's a plus.
The last time I'm here I sang praises about it. Not sure if I'm surprised but standards didn't slip at all.
Ever since I learnt how rare satay beehoon is, I've been on a mission to try all the good ones. I've tried plenty so far, maybe all in fact, yet this is still the one that I suspect probably the greatest proportion of poeple will enjoy
The sauce is very balanced, not too spicy, and has a deep flavour while being aromatic enough. All the ingredients are cooked perfectly, the ratios are all perfect, and the portion is perfect. This is as textbook as it gets
The young master is also extraordinary. He moves with such efficiency, grace and smoothness. Each action is measured and artistic in its fluidity.
What an experience, come early if you want to avoid the queue but even if u don't, rest assured the queue moves quickly due to his mastery
This time I didn't Kenna cuttlefish bones. If there was a single thing I could point out for this bowl, is that the Cuttlefish came in large pieces which doesn't catch sauce as well as it could have. But really, that's nitpicking
one of the best satay bee hoon that I tried, the sauce is tasty, nutty and mild spicy. Served with beehoon, cuttlefish, liver and sliced pork (a bit tough for the sliced pork).
💰$4.5 (small).

Drenched in homemade peanut sauce, this beautiful mess had a stingy amount of bee hoon, topped with cuttlefish, pork slices, pork liver, cockles, fried beancurd, beansprouts and kang kong.
Overall, I actually enjoyed this but I wished the sliced pork was more tender and there was more kang kong… I ordered the Large one leh.🥲

Really delicious.
The cuttlefish texture was textbook but it wasn't properly prepped, there's still skin and bones unfortunately. I mean it's still edible but those parts affect texture. Also it's 2 huge pieces so they don't catch sauce optimally
Everything else was cooked quite well, the liver has a strong iron taste tho. Their sauce is a good, strong balance of sweet, savoury and spicy. Somehow it still feels very easy to eat. I would say it's a very classic rendition done well without much spin.
Worth a try if you're into classics
Quite a good plate of satay bee hoon for only $4. Satay sauce was fragrant and delicious. Ingredients such as cuttlefish, bean curd and pork liver was big and soft.
