Perfectly done crackling accompanied with tender lean pork together. This plate of regular portion $20 was a great appetizer.
These plate of regular size suckling pig $32 was a crowd pleaser. Nice layer of crackling, accompanied with small slices of lean meat underneath. 👍🏼
This super shiok braised pork belly with preserved veg that isn't too salty! Extensive review of @avejoffre at @rwsentosa. So many favorites over here. Make sure you catch Master Chef Zhou while he is still here in Singapore.
四川水煮鱼片 Sichuan Poached Sliced Mandarin Fish in Chili Oil from Avenue Joffre at RWS. Tender, sweet slices of fish poached in a hot and spicy chili oil, Sichuan peppercorn and dried chili-laden broth that had an intensely nutty fragrance of toasted sesame oil. This is worth making a trip to Sentosa for! #foodgasm #yummy #sgfood
We chose the above-mentioned 3 for the platter with a choice of three barbecued meats. Of the three, we preferred the Roast Pork first; crisp skin with mostly lean meat that carried a light smoky flavour which went well with the accompanying mustard sauce. Following which, we liked the BBQ Pork which was coated in a lightly sweet sauce, yet had a good amount of porky flavour, cut in chunky pieces which carried quite a good amount of bite; goes well with the plum sauce at the side. Roasted Cantonese Duck was not too bad, but in contrast with the other meats it seemed a tad dry, though the honey-glazed skin which had quite a crisp was a plus point for it.
