Decided to order kid version for fish & chips but I felt that it's quite soggy and not crispy or crunchy bc I didn't eat this after serving. I felt that their fish & chips is not much taste for nuggets or fried fries.
In light of Singapore’s 55th Birthday, Ah Meng Restaurant of the Singapore Zoo has put forth a number of deals in each stall to celebrate the nation’s birthday. This dish topped off with the little flag was surprisingly good. The pandan rice was extremely fragrant, together with the acar and sambal, it was great. The chicken was big and juicy, and the sauce was spicy and flavourful, even spicier than the sambal! Only letdown was the fried hard boiled egg that was too dry and cold. The dish was enjoyable, and really worth it for the portion and price, considering how it is a tourist attraction. I don’t know if this is always on the menu or if it’s a special, but for tourists or Singaporeans alike, it’s worth a try!

🌿🐅🐘 Visited the Singapore Zoo last week 😊. Ordered garden green salad, mushroom bread bowl soup and a coffee for a snack break.
The food selection is wide, offering both local and western dishes. The food is ok, not great but not bad for a high-volume tourist location. Prices are high, but not as outrageous as at amusement parks in the US, or even in Sentosa. Anyway, it’s the best of all the eateries at the zoo, so most likely you would end up here if you’re hungry. Ah Beng would rather not eat at Ah Meng if he could!
Can't remember the last time my tastebuds thanked me for spicing them up with shiok sambal. Anyone else has such craving?
Yesterday's... ➊ [Nasi Lemak with Curry Chicken S$9.50] - pic looks like it's got gravy but in real life it's rather dry.
➋ [Braised Duck with Yam Rice S$9.90] - the most most most awfuliest (if there's such a word) duck rice I ever had in my life, so nasty that I can't even.
Now I'm craving for some chicken rice!
Thankful for the complimentary zoo + river safari tickets + food vouchers that saved us almost S$70 per pax and at the same time I can go to the zoo to see animals because they are better than humans.😣 (yes I actually love going to the zoo) And it was the most awesome trip ever because during the whole time there, no sweat at all, the weather was so good, breezy, windy. The aircon in Polar Bear & Pandas' enclosure is so cold that I want to grab my blankets and stay there. So now I'm going to post some food pictures. 😜
➊ [Ice Milk Tea with Coffee Jelly & Caramel Sauce S$4] - doesn't taste like teh at all, it has a fake plastic taste that I couldn't describe, nonetheless we drank it all.
Definitely a must try when you are at the Singapore Zoo. Abit pricey though, $9.50 but what can you expect from an attraction place.
Chicken macaroni and dry minced chicken noodles with fishball soup (soup not visible from picture). Simple fare at the zoo after the safari zoo run. Tastes plain and simple too :(
Cute presentation in a plastic flower cup. Sadly there's no Atap seed. Too sweet for my sis and just nice for me :)
If you're looking for e cheapest yusheng, I highly recommend River Safari's YuSheng and it cost at a way lower price of $8bucks !!!!! astonished us went in of cox :) thou cheap as it may seems... it's not at e losing end too... ample of salmon slices and portion for 2pax is Enuff to fill your tummy ;) #yusheng #zoo #cheap #salmon
