Tastes nice although we wish the oyster will be fried a bit longer to get that crispy texture. Weβd rather stick to either prawn cake or prawn noodle from now on.
Soup is tasty while prawns are fresh, only downside is the pork ribs that taste average. Overall, still worth trying.
Never goes wrong. Lotsa prawns and a surprising ingredient: water chestnut, for the extra crunch! ππππππ
Ordered the one with the pork ribs. Definitely one of the best best best prawn mee I've eaten. Although the price might be a bit above the norm but it was totally worth it. The prawns were sweet and fresh (saw the auntie take it out from a pile of ice too). Soup was as rich as it could get and noodles were perfectly done.
The hawker was a pretty damn hot tho. Dress light!
PRICE: $5
PRAWNS: 1.5 big prawns + pork ribs
SOUP: Huge bowl of mildly flavorful prawn broth. A tad on the sweeter side.
NOODLES: C likes them. H finds them 'so-so'.
PARKING: Big car park right behind
SPECIAL LOVE FOR β€οΈ: Fresh prawns β’ Good serving size β’ Generous fried shallots and pork lard
I still couldn't get enough of the garlicky soup but alas, those pork ribs could have been stewed a lot longer. Also, two of the prawn halves were a touch mushy and so were the noodles. Hopefully this was a one-off because usually, the prawn noodles at this stall tastes as good as it looks.
