Ravioli with seafood mousse and scallop floss. The caper vinaigrette complements the seafood but I am not a fan of capers in general. Again, the black truffles just makes everything better!
The polenta is nothing short of amazing - light, well seasoned and fluffy! The saltiness from the Black Forest ham and Parmesan really brings out the best in polenta. I enjoyed the light crunch that the cheddar crumbs gave. Mix in the sous vide egg for an even richer texture. This is the cheapest truffle dish from their new menu (limited time) at $15! Pictured at the top right is the super pretty beer slushie.
This is the ultimate indulgence! Beautiful crisp fries with grated hard cheese pecorino, white truffle oil, and 5g of Italian black autumn truffle grated right in front of you! As if this wasn't enough, the stellar truffle mayo dip takes it up a notch!
Dainty angel hair pasta with scallops and shrimps. So much flavours from the shrimps! The black autumn truffle makes the whole dish aromatic and irresistible. This is part of the new dinner menu which features a slew of dishes with truffle. Truffle stock is limited so if you are a truffle lover, do head down soon!
This freak cake tastes as good as it looks! Pillowy matcha sponge cake with matcha buttercream and black sesame frosting. With the black sesame powder base, the nuttiness dominates while the matcha lends a subtle bitterness. Good for 2-3 people to share!
The beef cheek was tender and went well with the sweet potato and potato mash. The carrot kimchi added a nice acidic twang. Served with wholemeal toast and a perfect poached egg! Really hearty dish!
Linguine aglio olio was very good. Simplicity done right. The spiciness adds a fiery kick to the dish, and if you like it really spicy, you can opt for the white habenaro. The chunks of fresh crab meat is really the icing on the cake.
$18.90 for a bowl of noodles in a market food centre? YES BECAUSE THERE'S A WHOLE LOBSTER IN THERE (plus shells and prawns)! The broth didn't disappoint and will satisfy all sorts of crustacean cravings. It was garlicky, sweet from the fresh seafoods and packed with umami goodness - just imagine the beehoon soaking up all these rich flavours, mmm hmm!
It's not that obvious in the photo but this came with a huge serving of noodles and works rather well for sharing between 2 if you're not too hungry. Other noodle soup options include normal prawns, 'sumo' big prawns and crayfish, along with other dishes like Japanese Lala Soup and Grilled Clams.

It's clearly the season for salted egg dishes - salted egg croissants, salted egg waffles, salted egg churros, etc. Just when you think that's about it, Crab Corner in Joo Koon serves up this Fried Rice with Salted Egg Crab Meat. Yes, fried rice! The bowl of salted egg crab meat is served separately. You can decide to mix them all up or eat it by the spoonful with your rice. The fried rice itself was nicely executed. It was fragrant and topped with cubes of scallops and prawns. The salted egg gravy was thick and flavorful with distinct hints of the curry leaves. I would have liked to see more crab meat though. I had mine mixed in but found it to reduce the taste of the salted egg gravy and got a little jerlat. I would have it by the spoonful next time! This dish only comes in one serving at $15, good for 1-2 pax. Service was friendly and dishes were served quickly!
This large pot of curry fish head came bubbling hot! The Ang Goli fish was very fresh! The curry is rather thick, tangy, but I found it too sweet. $38 for this.
The meat is braised in veal jus in a high pressured cooker which results in a tender and flavourful beef that pulls apart super easily! The smooth, creamy mash potato makes the whole dish velvety and delicious, would order this again! Priced at $28++.
Tried the hazelnut soft serve which was light and nutty! It is quite expensive at $15 for 2 toppings though. The salted chocolate honeycomb provides a nice crunch and richness!
