We started off with the Fried Burrata and got the Bismarck Blanc Pizza and Burrata Pomodoro pasta to share. The deep-fried burrata was a great starter — crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside. I especially enjoyed the burst of balsamic pearls with the pomodoro sauce, which paired perfectly with the cheese.

The Bismarck Blanc pizza was my personal favorite. The sous-vide egg, cheese, and ham went so well with the sourdough crust, making for a hearty mix of flavors in every bite. It also felt lighter compared to regular pizzas, which I really appreciated.

We finished with their tiramisu, the perfect way to wrap up the meal. It was just the right amount of light and creamy. Overall, it was a delicious and satisfying experience, with great ambiance and service. Would recommend!

Came for dinner dinner at Hong Kong Cha Kee on a busy Thursday evening at 7 PM. The place was packed, but the Hong Kong vibes and inspired interior was quite interesting.

Overheard from a neighbouring table that the menu was updated recently & we decided to order scrambled egg with fresh prawns, their signature roasted char siu with scrambled egg on rice, and tofu with assorted seafood. Portions were huge — definitely more than enough for two so would recommend to try the smaller dishes or sides along with one of the mains! The char siu was the highlight for me - tender and tasty, and the prawns were fresh and paired well with the creamy scrambled eggs.

Overall, I’d recommend to give the place a try if you’re around the area! Unfortunately the bolo buns were sold out when we came but we’d love to come back and try them!

I dropped by Zhup Zhup by One Prawn & Co on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and was thoroughly impressed by both the prawn noodles and the ngoh hiang assortment. My partner and I ordered their signature prawn noodles (which can be customised to your liking) & a small ngoh hiang platter for sharing. The prawn noodles boasted a rich flavor profile, and for my prawn noodles, my selection of ebiko ball and signature prawn were delightful. The ngoh hiang platter, especially when enjoyed with their chili sauce, is an absolute standout and a must-get when visiting!

That being said, queues can get quite long on the weekends so be sure to make an online reservation to skip the lengthy lines. We had made a reservation & were swiftly seated upon arrival. The courteous staff, who thoughtfully provided chestnut drinks to waiting patrons, enhanced the overall experience. The gentleman who served us was bright and welcoming as well. Excellent cuisine and service! Would definitely recommend!

Popped by on Thursday night and ordered the 88 Pork Set B, which comes with their special 506 dry-aged pork belly, marinated pork collar and pork rib fingers. The set also came with steamed egg and a choice of either kimchi or soybean stew. Opted for the kimchi stew & I particularly liked how the pork bites in the kimchi stew melted in my mouth!

The pork was really tender and flavourful and the portion was just nice for my partner and me as well. Our meal came with the standard banchan dishes - kimchi, potato, hotdogs, etc. which were refillable. Overall, would say Set B is pretty value for money!

The staff was attentive and helpful despite it being relatively busy - you can get the servers to barbecue the meat for you. The restaurant was well ventilated and air-conditioned which made for an enjoyable dining experience! Would recommend!

Been wanting to try 88 Pocha for a while and came around dinner time on a Friday night and had a great experience despite the initial long wait! Ordered their Truffle Jjajang Ramyeon, Corn Cheese Ramyeon & Spicy Cheese Dakgalbi with Rice Balls.

The Corn Cheese Ramyeon and Spicy Cheese Dakgalbi can get pretty spicy and I would highly recommend getting a drink to go along with your meal. Nonetheless, the rice balls that came along with the Spicy Cheese Dakgalbi were a pretty delicious complement and neutraliser to the spice.

The Truffle Jjajang Ramyeon came with a slice of cheese and fried egg. Enjoyed the combination of the jjajang and truffle sauce and the springiness of the noodles. The Truffle Jjajang Ramyeon was a clear winner for me & would definitely be back for it again.

The ambiance was enjoyable but do expect the place to be warm and true to the whole ‘Pojangmacha’ vibe! Would also recommend arriving earlier to avoid the long queue during peak mealtime periods. Overall, a pretty enjoyable experience!

I particularly enjoyed the broth of the seafood soup - it was really flavourful & filled with a variety of fresh ingredients & a generous portion of prawns and crayfish which were cooked well. Overall, had a pretty enjoyable meal & experience :)
