A comforting dish to go for when you just want something simple and easy to eat. The pig organ soup is not very spicy which is not what I am used to. However it is very tasty with the added liver and i thoroughly enjoyed the bowl of soup.
If you have extra stomach, for $1.80, you can order the Lu Rou Fan instead of the normal white rice.

Finally trying the famous Song Kee after a month since they have moved behind my yard at Joo Chiat. I never had the opportunity to try at their original location so it was a blessing to have them so close by.

The mee pok I had were pretty good and tasty on its own, but it isn't the best in my opinion. The biggest winner in my book is their hand-made her keows. Made from fish skin and bite size savory minced pork, the umami is definitely strong in this one. If you have the extra stomach space, order extra her keow, you won't regret it.

What a gem hidden at the back row of Amoy Street FC. Also known as Singapore style ramen, this bowl of noodles definitely does not feel like it should be priced at $7. In fact the ingredients used and preparation are very close to a restaurant-like ramen.

To be fair, the noodles isn't what you would expect it to be for a typical ramen, it is actually wanton mee fusion with ramen. The added char siew slices and oozing egg blur the concept of ramen and wanton noodle that we singaporeans are used to. The sauce is really on point and because of the thin noodles used, it soaks up the sauce as you toss it in the bowl.

The one I really liked the most is the potato prawn fritter. The crunchiness and the flavor that burst forth is simply amazing. My only regret is that I ate it in the middle of everything and not at the end of the meal. I would imagine saving it for the last bite would really end the meal well.

The "Four Floors" may have just knocked "Fun Boy Three" off the top position on my list of preferred burgers. It is so bloody good! I guess that's inevitable when beef patties and cheese are doubled, onions are tripled, and they are served with "Notorious T.O.M. Sauce", miso mayo, pickles and lettuce between demi brioche buns.
Well, hang on to your seats because I have some really awesome news to share.
At the moment, the double patties of Hereford beef in this burger weigh in at 120gms each. But a little bird "cough" Chef Adam "cough" told me they're going to be increased very soon to 150gms across ALL the burgers. AND prices will remain the same.
You're welcome.

They offer their famous Animal Style and Protein Style as well with no added cost. It's even crazier that the meal only cost $7!! It's only here until 3pm! Thanks for the jio @veronicaphua & @that_dex

Found this as trending on Burpple Location feature at Tanjong Pagar so I decided to give this a try. For $17 to have 3 toppings, one protein and one carbs, it's slightly more expensive compared to The Daily Cut, but it's proportion is slightly larger and comes with a lemonade. Of the items I have chosen, I really liked the well cooked beef and soba.
Overall it was quite filling and tasty healthy alternative to The Daily Cut.

For $16, its a pretty decent pipping hot meal with tender beef cooked to your own liking.

There are 3 variants this stall offers: Black (black soya sauce), Red (Char Siew sauce) and the normal white. I love the ample amount of meat scattered over the springy noodles.

I have not been to Taiwan but I know it's a foodie heaven there, given the shockwaves of Taiwan food stalls popping up in Singapore. Recently there was this media coverage on the trending Popiah style Ice cream with shaved peanut from Taiwan having arrived in Singapore through DessertStory branches, I knew I had to try this before my trip.

At $3.50 for a piece of popiah ice cream, it doesn't really complete your reserved space for dessert in your stomach, but it sure was interesting. I like how the chilling feeling on the popiah skin which wraps around the coconut ice cream that I have ordered. It's like having a much thinner slice of bread ice cream that you will see on the streets. There is also a leaf of coriander inside, which struck a refreshing yet unusual taste. I'm not sure if it will go well the majrotiy's taste buds, this doesn't seem too strong for me. Lastly, the shaved peanut candy really brought up the dessert dish to its worth. I love the fragrance and crunchiness of the peanuts in Min Jiang Kueh and the pairing with the ice cream is just brilliant.

Like a burrito, when you bite on it, the sauces and meat just burst forth into your mouth; imagine that with ice cream and the wonderful peanut candy.
