We also ordered the signature Honghu Lotus Root with Superior Pork Broth ($24.90). This soup was very thick but I felt that it was not as sweet as I expected it to be.

The Stir-Fried Pork with Chilli ($21.90) is savoury and spicy. The pork is quite lean (could do with a little more fat imo) but this dish is still tasty nonetheless.

The Hand Shredded Cabbage ($12.90) is packed with wok hey and absolutely delicious.

The Black Tiger Shrimp Balls with Vermicelli Pot ($22.90) is really good. The prawns are big and succulent and the vermicelli is thoroughly infused with the fragrance of garlic - wiped this clean!

The Spicy Pork Noodles ($6.90) comes with a generous serving of Koka noodles (揯揣靱), pork slices, pork balls, liver, minced meat egg in a rich and fiery pork broth. I didn’t expect the spicy soup to be THAT spicy - it definitely got me sweatingđŸ„”. Thankfully, the level of spiciness is customisable and the soup was sweet, flavourful and comfortably spicy when I asked for ‘less spicy’ on another occasion. Satisfying!

This is my first time trying Keen’s Bagelry at Asia Square and I am super satisfied with Saitama ($17), which features a hearty bagel with Norwegian smoked salmon, avocado, sunny-side up, tomatoes, sliced cheddar, house-made Garlic aioli and arugula. The ingredients are fresh and generous, and the flavours worked well together. This is so big that I was struggling to finish it for lunch, but not complaining!

The Steamed Bak Kut Teh Xiao Long Bao ($11) did not work for me - it did not remind me of BKT and I was a little thrown off by the peppery taste.

We also ordered Carrot Squid Paste Cake ($12) which tasted like a decent fried carrot cake.

The most surprising dish was the Sichuan Chopped Pepper Grouper Fish Crystal Dumpling ($12) that were shaped like goldfishes - I did not expect to find a whole piece of grouper inside the dumpling. Felt like I was bitting into an actual fish😂 This is quite mild in terms of spiciness but still enjoyable.

Snow White's Macadamia Yam Bun ($11) made a dramatic entrance and the taste was on point. The soft steamed buns were a great match with the smooth yam filling that wasn’t too sweet. Recommend this to all orh nee lovers!

The Crispy Soft Shell Crab Rice Rolls with Cereals ($14) was very good. The crispy soft shell crab was wrapped in silky chee cheong fun, drizzled in a savoury sauce and topped with bonito flakes. This was so good!

My favourite item was the Black Pepper Tenderloin Beef Ham Shui Kok ($13), which looked like hedgehogs that were too cute to be eaten. The crust was light and airy and the black pepper beef filling was tasty.
