Had some really good #Cantonese cuisine last night, and it's always fun trying new dishes. Can't begin to imagine the skill and effort that went into this Steamed Thousand Layer Beancurd ($33) which was beautifully plated, and served with diced honey glazed pork, conpoy, mushrooms and ginkgo nuts. #burpple

It tasted so good on its own already, but don't underestimate the splash of teriyaki sauce on the side, which lent an additional body of flavour which complemented the smokey notes infused in the cod. Spoilt for choice with so many ingredients ๐Ÿ˜ love how the @thesaladshopsg allows you to pick baby spinach for the base at no additional cost, and it comes with 6 toppings for the smallest size ($8). Favorites included the beef short ribs (zinged up with a tinge of yuzu), foie gras (bliss!!) and scallop wrapped in bacon which was deliciously juicy and had a really interesting dimension of flavour thanks to the addition of the shiso leaf. The Tenderloin Tartare was prepared slightly differently - torched, to give it a smokey aroma and dotted with wasabi mayo to give it an additional kick. The blend of flavours was incredible, and the beef, deliciously tender.

The Mussels were presented with a cultural twist, marinated in a garam marsala sauce and topped with a generous hand of Parmesan shavings.

A decently sized portion of salmon that has been marinated in a Vietnamese caramel to give it a lovely smokey, slightly sweet flavour, sitting atop a bed of light, long-grained rice which has been infused with coconut oil for a delicious aroma. #burpple #brunch #breakfast

Felt so clean & light after our super healthy dinner at @afterglow_sg, even with this generous portion of spiralised zucchini tossed in a dehydrated tomato sauce. The zoodles had a nice crunch to it, and was actually really tasty, topped with an almond crumble "cheese". The best part? "Meat balls" made from walnut, shiitake & dates, which had a delicious nutty flavour! Who knew that #vegan food could be so creative and tasty ๐Ÿ˜‹ #Burpple #vegetarian #meatlessmonday

#throwback to #brunch on Good Friday where we had this amazing Crab Benedict ($20) from @noshsg. Why go for the regular eggs benny when you can have crab cakes instead! The best part? Top it off with piquant coconut curry hollandaise that complemented the flavours in the crab patties perfectly! #burpple #breakfast

We began our 5-course dinner ($35+) at @brine.singapore on a promising note with this serving of toasted multigrain. The bread was had a beautiful textural crunch from the grains, with a light, crispy interior. It was so fragrant that I enjoyed it thoroughly on its own, without having to dip it into the accompanying condiment of blueberry yogurt and basil oil which I felt was a tad confusing on the palate. As an opening special, Brine's menu will be at 40% off till 23 April. An exquisite meal at affordable prices, what's not to love? :) #burpple #burpplegotjio

They were all so guuuuuud ๐Ÿ˜ฑ can't decide which is my fav, but they were all filled to nearly bursting with a deliciously fragrant cream. Definitely going back for more! #burpple
