Here’s what we enjoyed…
👉Tomahawk Beef
1kg Black Angus (3-5pax)
Promo: SGD90 (U.P. $120)
👉Toma-Pork
350g U.S. Pork (2-3pax)
Promo: SGD24 (U.P. $30)
👉Saba Fish
140g Fillet (1pax)
Promo: SGD7 (U.P. $10)
👉King of King Mushroom
Promo: SGD6 (U.P. $8)
👉Premium Karubi (100g) - SGD14
To ensure that you get the best experience, they even provided a guide on how long you should cook your meats for. For those who ordered the tomahawks, the whole experience is further elevated with a display of the service staff’s knife skills – they will remove the meat from the bone and slice it perfectly. All that’s missing is Salt Bae’s trademark move.😬
IMO, I preferred the Toma-Pork more than the Tomahawk Beef. While both exceeded expectations, the Toma-Pork was more succulent. Special mention goes out to their huge “branded” king mushroom, which has a burst-in-your-mouth sensation. SHIOK!
❗️Limited Tomahawk Beef per day. Please pre-order 1 day before

In these 2 months of festivities and joyous occasions, why not indulge in some quality yet affordable Japanese cuisine at @daiyusansg, which has 4.7⭐️ on Google Reviews!
Here's what we enjoyed…
👉Deluxe Chirashi Don
👉Japanese Amberjack Cheek grilled with Teriyaki Sauce
👉Chawanmushi of the Day x 2
- Scallop soaked in Sake
- Monkfish Liver
👉Sashimi Mori Platter
- Chutoro x 2
- Otoro x 2 with Uni
- Akami x 2
- Salmon x 4
- Mekajiki x 2

One look at the menu and you'll see that this cosy Japanese restaurant has something for everyone regardless of how deep your pockets are. Go for their reasonably priced dons, or if you're feeling boujee, dive into their fresh plump sashimi platters!
What's extra commendable about @daiyusansg is how they do take criticisms seriously and improve from there. An example would be their chirashi don - after receiving comments that their truffle rice was too overpowering, we were quite impressed that their dons came with a more balanced taste.
All in all, @daiyusansg is an unexpected surprise nestled amongst the industrial park of Tai Seng & though it may be slightly out of the way, the pocket-friendly menu does make it worthwhile to drop by!

With the use of binchotan charcoal for grilling, it definitely elevates the premium quality meats and prawns to the next level. Their A4 Wagyu Ribeye & Striploin were the main highlight of my meal! Perfectly grilled by the friendly service staff, each slice of Wagyu was rich, juicy and had a velvety decadence.
Guess what? They even go to the extend of de-shelling the prawns for you!

Our previous experience at @jidai_restaurant was amazing and we always JIDAI (sorry bad pun) for a chance to revisit. So when the opportunity came, of course we jumped at it!😬
Here's what we enjoyed: JIDAI 8 Course Ultimate Omakase (SGD88)
1️⃣Chile Uni with Uni Miso Creme
2️⃣Oyster & Potan Ebi
3️⃣Tuna Tataki & Sea Bream
4️⃣Jade Abalone with Seaweed Rice
5️⃣Maitake with Foie Gras Veloute
6️⃣Kurobuta Pork Collar with Braised Pull Pork Dumpling
7️⃣Mini Cones Chous Chous
8️⃣Champagne Gelato with Yuzu Poached Baby Pear and Vanilla Tuile
My personal favourite from the omakase has to be the Potan Ebi Tart which TBH caught me by surprise cause spicy (but that's just me as I'm a baby when it comes to spice) but that didn't stop me from devouring it! Honorable mention goes to the Jade Abalone for being absolutely delectable - flavourful with just the right amount of chew.😋
All in all, we left @jidai_restaurant with belly-satisfied stomachs and no holes in our wallets!😊

Here’s what we savoured…🤤
👉LIVE Lobster Porridge
👉Golden Salted Egg Squid
👉BBQ Pork Ribs cooked in Red Wine
👉Dual Taste Kai Lan
Match made in heaven, the combination of the porridge’s warmth and lobster’s rich flavour creates something that’s comforting yet luxurious at the same time. The lobster meat was chunky and so succulent. Special mention goes out to their Red Wine BBQ Pork Ribs, which was fall-off-the-bone tender and really tasty. Lastly, their Dual Taste Kai Lan managed to surprise me with an interesting play of textures.👍

Overall, the dishes we had were sumptuous and exceeded my expectations. Well-executed by the chefs, the fresh ingredients used definitely shined through, especially for the seafood! Special mention goes out to their tasty Salted Egg Crab, which was one of the best I had so far. Made from scratch using fresh salted eggs for the sauce, it certainly justify the extra SGD3 top-up.👍

5️⃣Challan Duck with Massaman Yellow Curry
6️⃣Watermelon Vodka, Les Carolines
7️⃣Caramel Coconut Red Ruby
Overall, the ingredients used were all very fresh and each course did not disappoint our palates.😛
If I had to pick my top 3 favourites, it would be 1️⃣, 4️⃣ & 5️⃣.
1️⃣ boasts a flavourful mix of prawn broth, crab roe miso and shallot oil. It was refreshing and definitely got me craving for more deliciousness next.
4️⃣ reminded me of Leng Saap (Spicy Pork Spine Soup). The exotic crocodile ribs were surprisingly succulent and the aromatic tom yum soup was too SHIOK to stop slurping.
5️⃣ features the lean and tender red meat with a crisp skin, simmered in tasty coconut-rich curry. The fried crunchy rice cake elevated the overall texture of this dish.
I’m usually not fond of red ruby desserts but their Caramel Coconut Red Ruby did manage to impress me.😌
