Slowly simmered over a traditional charcoal flame, the light and flavourful “Beauty Pot” boost citrus benefits of yuzu with refreshing flavours of coconut in savoury miso combined. It’s filled with ingredients that promote healthy skin such as peach gum, shan yao, dates, white fungus, lotus root, lily bulbs, yuzu peels and gojiberries. Definitely a MUST TRY when you’re here. I heard their Laksa Charcoal Hotpot is really good too!

Top dish of the night has to be their Baja Fish Tacos - fish was fresh with almost zero traces of fishiness; paired with a deliciously crisp and light yet flavourful batter. Definitely a MUST ORDER when you're here! Do also give their cocktails and the traditional Mexican drink, Horchata a try.

All in all, @huevossg exceeded our expectations in the dishes we've tried. One small tip will be to make your reservations (Tues-Thurs) before going down otherwise be prepared to queue since it's almost always a full house.

Created during Circuit Breaker back in 2020 right from the home kitchen of Chef Renée, @jelebudrylaksa iconic dry laksa dish uses a specific rice noodle for that unbeatable texture. The noodles are first simmered in the thick broth of the laksa, allowing it to soak up the best flavours from the shrimp-heavy laksa broth. Thereafter, the dish is topped with fresh seasonal seafood that is uncommon to see in laksa. Luxe butter-poached lobster, grilled tiger prawns and crispy ebi elevate the already decadent and scrumptious laksa!

I had their Grilled Tiger Prawns Dry Laksa (SGD18), as well as Carrot Cake Omelette (SGD10) to share. Definitely will be back to try more of their small plates, and maybe their Butter Poached Lobster Dry Laksa if I’m feeling rich…

Having tried Unatoto in Tokyo🇯🇵 3-4 years ago, I feel that the food here exceeded my expectations and was undeniably yummy, especially when considering its price point. Special mention goes to their assorted tempura (got Unagi), which was surprisingly more impressive than a tendon specialty restaurant – T**J**. For drinks pairing, their Yuzu/Mango/Strawberry Green Tea will be a great choice!

Needless to say, you’ve to order their fish head steamboat for the complete experience and to recapture the nostalgia of families & friends bonding over a traditional steamboat meal. Catering to different budgets, you can choose either pomfret, grouper, snapper or song fish. The 1.5kg red grouper we had was really fresh, firm and flaky. The slurp-worthy soup was rich yet clean tasting, and also slightly smokey thanks to the burning charcoal.

All in all, we definitely enjoyed ourselves and will recommend you guys to have your CNY gathering here at @nanhwachong1927!
