To end of the scrumptious meal over at @catfish.sg , I decided to go for none other than their Eton Mess - having seen it pasted all over Instagram.

A dark red hue of raspberry sorbet, round red chocolate crunchies and pale white vanilla meringue - dang this was the perfect sweet ending. There was hardly any mess at the end either as the bowl was picked clean to the T.

I did eye their Lemon Custard Tart as well but perhaps I'll save it for next time.

Having heard and seen so much about the pretty viennoiseries of @lematin.sg , I knew I just had to try them for myself. Concepted by none other than Chef Matin, they have found a permanent home over at Raeburn Park.

I decided to make an order of their Le Matin Basics pastry box - which comes with:

â—¾Kouign Amann
â—¾Pain Au Chocolate
â—¾Lacto-fermented Plum Galette
â—¾Brioche Feuilette
â—¾Bread & Butter Pudding

Each bake was stunning, each flaky buttery pastry perfectly crafted. My favourite was their Plum Galette, an interesting combination of salty and sweet on delicious folded sugar crusted pastry. Their Pain Au Chocolate was everything I wanted a pain au choc to be as well, filled with just the right amount of chocolate and topped with a layer of chocolate icing.

I've been eyeing their Pistachio Escargot as well but alas I've been too lazy to make the journey all the way to Raeburn Park. Not to mention their savoury Assemblage Box which is going at a whopping $58. The stomach says yes, wallet says please no. Of course, this won't be my last time trying Le Matin for sure - till we meet again!

Not only do you get a Bali aesthetic vibe when you dine alfresco over at @rawkitchenbar , you'll get to enjoy a lil Balinese cuisine as well! My mind was initially geared towards the seafood dishes but their meat offerings was too good to pass up.

While their Warung Pork Ribs doesn't look like much - holy crap does it pack a punch in flavour. Balinese BBQ glaze, pickled cauliflower and a side of lime - the tender meat literally fell off the bone and blew my mind away. I would definitely place this as one of the top ribs that I've ever had - and yes it might even be better than Morganfield's!

Finally got my hands on some @brotherbird_bakehouse croissants! These babies usually get sold out by noon which makes it difficult for me to get em' as I'm not a morning person - so thank the lord for pre-orders!

Got to try their August line-up which included:

â—¾Mentaiko Prawn Twice-Baked
â—¾Strawberry Pain Au Chocolat
â—¾Chendol Croissant
â—¾Rocher Croisssant
â—¾Green Curry Chicken Twice-Baked
â—¾Original Croissant

Their unique and local take on flavours are one to keep an eye out for! Highlights for me were definitely their Chendol and savoury croissants! Do check out their September Line-up which just came out a couple days ago now. Dayum.

Another stunner from @catfish.sg is their Grilled Octopus Leg. Comprising of chimmichurri, chorizo crumbs, watercress and fennel, the humongous octopus leg was grilled to perfection.

While it required a slight chew, it was everything an octopus leg should be. The chorizo crumbs added a slight crunch which melded delectably with the chimmichurri - the three elements combined was a match in Heaven and made me constantly go back for seconds.

Don't be fooled by the rose - it's actually a dessert by @kura.singapore that is made out of sea salt chocolate, dark chocolate cream and cacao nibs. A hidden gem located in The Herencia, Kura offers up artisan dessert art that's too pretty to eat.

Even though it was simply too gorgeous to cut into - alas, it's time had come for me to dig into it. A mix of smooth sea salt chocolate and dark chocolate on top a tart base, the bittersweet flavours complemented one another while the cacao nibs added another dimension of crunch for texture.

This rose is definitely meant to be shared though - it's richness proved too much for even my own sweet tooth!

If you fancy yourself some artisan gelato, look no further than @denzygelato ! Each batch is made from scratch and features distinctive unique flavours that are inspired from all over the globe.

I've tried their gelato a couple times before and find myself constantly heading back for more. This time around I decided to get a double scoop of Raspberry White Chocolate and Basque Burnt Cheesecake.

Both flavours were amazing, with the Raspberry White Choc being a nostalgic yet vastly improved version of my beloved childhood flavour Raspberry Ripple. The Basque Burnt Cheesecake actually comprises of actual blended up cheesecake, hence it tasted exactly as it was and it blew my mind away. Definitely will be back for more - though I hope they'll bring back their Persian Prince!

Oh thank the Lord we can finally dine-out again! I initially had a reservation for @rawkitchenbar but had to cancel due to the last minute restrictions - hence when they were lifted, I got right back and of course made another reservation.

The Bali aesthetic at Raw Kitchen Bar was just stunning and a nice breather from the city. (Especially since we can't travel.) This outdoor bar and restaurant serves up soul comfort food with a Latin-Asian inspiration.

And of course, that Black Mamba definitely got my attention. Consisting of black fried rice, tiger prawns, squid ink sofrito, fermented chilli sambal and curry leaves - I was kinda apprehensive about the spice level but was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't spicy at all. The sambal added a whole new level of flavour profiles to the black fried rice and I highly recommend eating them together!

I was also eyeing their Open Faced Salmon Mentaiko but dang it, it was only available for brunch - though I might just have to head back again.

While everyone else was going for their Crêpe Marcel for dessert, I decided to be a rebel and go for @mercimarcel 's Crème Brûlée instead

I was initally quite surprised to be served with such a huge deep dish for the dessert, and I thought that it was gonna be such a generous portion. Alas, it was actually quite shallow and I reckon that the deep dish was used to give it more surface area for that delicious crackling of torched sugar. The handmade caramel complemented the delicious burnt cream and it was a perfect way to end the meal over at Marcel.

I came across the gorgeous dessert works of art from @kura.singapore while exploring the Herencia. Tucked away in a little corner of lifestyle store - Crane Living, my gaze was instantly drawn to the sweet treats that were displayed.

I wanted to try almost everything from Kura, but alas I told myself to chill and get their gift box instead - which included:

â—¾ Strawberry Cheese
Having seen the block of cheese dessert trend a while ago, I knew I just had to try it.

â—¾La Vie En Rose
The second dessert that caught my eye and that was included in the box was their La Vie En Rose. Damn, that's one pretty looking thing and it was devastating to have to destroy it.

â—¾Key Lime Tart
I absolutely love the combination of sweet and sour - lemon meringue being one of my favourite flavours. The Key Lime Tart was pretty much the little brother of Lemon Meringue but was just as good and almost identical in flavour profiles.

â—¾Mango Citrus
The most delicate dessert of the box is their Mango Citrus. Delicious mousse with fresh mango, grapefruit and lime zest - it was as refreshing as summer.

I'll definitely love to try more from Kura if I'm ever in the area again. Who knew The Herencia could house such a hidden gem of a patisserie that is Kura.

The long queues for @petitpain.sg are a testament to how good their bakes and viennoiseries are.

One of my favourites apart from their Apple Danish is their Escargot. Buttery, flaky pastry filled with raisins - how can something so simple be so good. Just look at all those laminated layers. It's amazing how Petit does them oh so well while keeping their prices so low - any other typical bake shop would have sold this for 6-8 bucks. It's no wonder people keep coming back for more - and that includes moi of course.
