Measuring about an inch in thickness, this glossy glory of a bacon chop is pure stickily-sweet, smokey meatiness. It is a must-have whenever I am at Artichoke, regardless of whatever else I may be ordering.
My comfort food on rainy or sick days.
No wonder it made it to the top five best waffles list in sg. The texture of the waffles was crispy on the outside and fluffy soft on the inside. The buttermilk was heavily infused with cinnamon which goes hand in hand with the rum bananas. Good for those with sweet tooth, go easy on the syrup as it can get really sweet. Will revisit! No GST and service charge for this cafe.
One of the better brunch dishes though expensive. Unique twist to the classic poached eggs on muffin with hollandaise sauce. The texture of egg is cooked to perfection that it can be picked up easily even when it's broken. Did I mention the honey glazed bacon?
This is the best muffin($2.80/pc) I've ever eaten!!! Rich with flavors, dense and they were very generous with the fillings. You will not enjoy this if you prefer something lighter. Must try if you enjoy rich food without being overly sweet. I heard that their green eggs with ham flavor is to die for. Yes, savory muffins I'm talking about! This cafe serves coffee and food too.
This cafe (Three Years in a balloon) deserves a shoutout! I'm surprised there's no review for this place and I think it's under the same establishment with Wimbly Lu. They only operate on weekdays from noon-7.30pm. I heard that they are good for their waffles but I haven't try it.(it's prolly the same as Wimbly Lu's) Go for their pear with cranberry tart. It is really good. Interior is pretty interesting as well. Will revisit!
As shown: waffles breakfast ($15.50) November burger ($16.50), rosti breakfast ($16.50) the rosti was pretty good!!! and November egg ($16.50) we requested for poached egg (initially they didn't allow the change but we kinda insisted) food is pretty good and portion is big, justifiable for the price however we waited for almost an hour for food to be served. I hope this can be improved but nevertheless I totally love the interior and ambience of the cafe(dim and ristic) the spotlights can get a little warm and unbearable after awhile though. I will revisit them for their sweet waffles.
Back on a second visit to try out their lunch menu. Noticed most on the items are either beef/vegetarian so we both had the same thing- chicken panini ($15) it was HEAVENLY. Love the texture of the bread. Instead of chicken breast, there were thick chunks of chicken thigh meat that tasted so tender and sweet. Love the avocado purée and the combination was magical. Who needs variety? Ok I'm not bragging, just personally enjoyed it a lot. 😁 only one downside of it is the slice of bacon in the panini which tasted like Chinese roast pork but I can make do with this.
In Hokkaido, we eat Ice cream every single day. 😋
Grilled sausages with onion jam ($23) additional smoked salmon ($6) refer to my previous review.
One of my new favorite! This Aussie style cafe wins hands down in terms of food, service and ambience. Went there on a weekday morning for breakfast and it's pretty quiet. Nice place to chill at. Went ahead to pimp my breakfast: smoked salmon($6), fried of scrambled eggs ($5), sour dough ($4) with grilled mushrooms ($4). They were generous with their serving and there's no service charge.
