feeling adventurous today and decided to give this avocado flavored donut a try. yes avocado!!! long gone the days where donuts were made with a hole in the centre. J co's donuts are well known for their generosity with the fillings without being overly sweet (comparing to Krispy kremes) the taste of avocado wasn't too overpowering as the chocolate shaves at the side helps neutralise it. overall a must try! It's super addictive~
I couldn't remember the exact pricing but it was below $6. The taiyaki is available without the soft serve/ toppings at $2.20/pc. There are a few choices for the fillings (chocolate/custard/ azuki beans/ strawberry If I'm not wrong). This is one of the best Taiyaki I've tried in Singapore. They were generous with the filling and it wasn't too sweet. The texture of the pancake is crispy on the outside, mochi-like on the inside and best eaten when hot! Worth trying albeit overpriced.
This is the best muffin($2.80/pc) I've ever eaten!!! Rich with flavors, dense and they were very generous with the fillings. You will not enjoy this if you prefer something lighter. Must try if you enjoy rich food without being overly sweet. I heard that their green eggs with ham flavor is to die for. Yes, savory muffins I'm talking about! This cafe serves coffee and food too.
If you're fan of cheesecake, don't miss this! Salted caramel cheesecake ($8.50 or $8/slice) was super dense and rich without being too gelat.
Have always love the texture of their cakes. Matcha cupcake is only available for the month of June so go and try it if you haven't. Will be good if you don't like your cakes to be too sweet, the cream was however a little too much for me. (Kinda oily) but overall still pleasant. ($4.80/pc)
I swear this is the only slice of rainbow cake($7.50) I'll lay my hands on!!! I'm not a fan of rainbow cakes, even though they are pretty to look at, they are purely made out of artificial dyes which can be a major turnoff for me. On the contrary, this cake is made from real fruit juice which means that every layer is burst with flavors! Superbly moist and the buttercream is not gelat at all leaves you wanting for more. Pink: strawberry orange: orange, yellow: lemon blue: blueberry. Can't remember the other flavors but it's a must try!!!
Went ahead with the staff's recommendation and oh boy, the cake was delicious! Tasted very much like ferrero rocher. The chocolate hazelnut crunch cake ($8.50/slice) was worth the try, love the buttercream especially.
Think Hoshino and Miam Miam. Japanese shibuya toast are getting more common lately. But good ones are hard to find, especially the matcha flavored ones. This cafe is relatively new and there's still room for improvement. The deserts are a little pricier. I think this cost about $16? The toast was thick and fluffy, paired with good quality matcha ice cream and azuki beans. I think they could have been more generous with the toppings as it got quite dry after eating half of it. I would recommend you to still give it a try though!
Red Velvet waffles/ ice-cream drizzled with cream cheese and berries, a tad disappointed because it was overcooked. There's a tinge of charred smell to it. I was there on a PH and it was really crowded. Sorry but don't think I'll be back again.
Overrated cafe.
