Truly the best scrambled eggs ever, it’s got to be these organic NZ eggs 🥰 The shiso cress is amazing too and the salad inspires me to grow my own. Used to cost $8 in December 2016, but now we’re in October 2020 and this costs $12. At least it’s still delicious and the quality is there! ♥️

Why do the scrambled eggs I cook never look this good? 😋 So delicious, these are definitely the scrambled eggs I ever had (I say this every time). This cafe has been around since December 2016. So I remember when this used to cost $8 in the beginning, and over the last few years, the price has been going up. Right now (October 2020) it’s $12. Thankfully, it still tastes good; and the eggs are still organic and from New Zealand! It really makes all the difference. The eggs are so tasty, fluffy and golden. The shiso cress is delicious, and the salad really inspires me to grow my own.

Not sure if it’s smaller now but it wasn’t very filling. Also I feel like it’s not as delicious as it used to be years ago.

I’ve never had Blue Label pizza so my mum said if I can get a new job, she’ll treat me to it! 😂 And so we had Blue Label. I’ve only heard good things so I think the pizza didn’t really meet my high expectations. As a pizza lover I think I’ve eaten better pizzas in my life. I think pepperoni really requires a thick, generous crust for it to be truly enjoyed (this one was neither thin nor thick really). Also I wish the pepperoni was thinner and more crispy. Found the dough a little too chewy for my liking. One of the ingredients was chilli oil but couldn’t detect it (not complaining!)

Wasn’t a fan of the crazy amount of toasted sesame either, it made the pizza taste strange and fusion-y like Chinese hawker centre breakfast food (e.g. butterfly bun/fritter or youtiao). The capers were also so charred that they were crispy and all the juicy flavour of the capers was gone, would be better if they were added after the pizza was cooked, just my two cents on how I think the pizza could be improved overall. I think the price is reasonable if you’re sharing with others. If I come back again I will probably try a different flavour.

Late night Japanese snack unboxing with Rachel 🍋 I can’t resist any lemon flavoured goodies. Just tried this lemon cake from Francais at @paragon.sg, a sister brand of @tokyomilkcheesesg and @letaosg! Love the cute graphics on the packaging, this would make a perfect gift! Taste-wise, this lemon honey cake reminds me of my mom’s lemon cupcakes except it’s coated in icing. There are also bits of lemon rind in the cake and it’s supposed to be coated in a white chocolate (not super discernible) icing. The icing is sweet enough/not too sweet. Verdict: Love the robust, memorable flavour of this lemon cake, it reminds me of my mom’s bakes! A box of 4 lemon cakes retails at $13.80, and they’re also sold individually at $5.50. Many thanks to Paragon for the vouchers! 🍋

😍 Crispy, buttery croissants filled with delicious lemon curd and topped with a meringue! From @brotherbird_bakehouse, these croissants are in ridiculously high demand. On the fifth day of trying to buy these croissants, I woke up extra extra early to get there and there were literally 20 people in the queue in front of me 😂 Thankfully, by the time it was my turn to place an order, even though almost all the flavours were already sold out, there were still 5 of these lemon meringue croissants left. Out of courtesy to the people queueing behind me, I got a few, not all 5.

For local standards, the udon here at Tsuru-koshi Udon in the basement of Takashimaya is really not bad! Good if you’re in a hurry but want some nice, decently priced, inexpensive Japanese food. The food is served quickly and piping hot. 10/10 would recommend 🙆🏻‍♀️
