Chicken Rice 亮耀馳名四馬路雞飯

The sister outlet to the main shop along Waterloo St which is also within walking distance, the rice was fragrant and grainy, while the chicken was nicely seasoned in sesame oil and soy sauce, being tender as well!

It comes with a teapot of Assam sauce which was pleasantly sour, tangy and comes with a tinge of spiciness, that can be drizzled onto the rice according to individual preferences!

Hokkien Mee 卡佩芝炒粿条 . 福建面

The noodles were slurpy and fully soaked in a luscious prawn stock which didn’t turn out too dry! It comes with a myriad of ingredients such as slices of pork, squids and prawns and is best had with the chilli and lime for an added dimension to its taste!

The accompanying sautéed vegetables were also crunchy with a charring taste, whereas the roasted potatoes were soft and appetising to have!

It comes with fishballs which were bouncy and a big piece of fishcake!

Beneath it lies a scoop of popcorn ice cream which hints strongly of caramel and tasted sweet, with some crunch to it from the macadamia nuts!

It comes sprinkled with chocolate balls that were crispy and adds another dimension of texture to the dessert!
