Really generous amount of Salmon which were fresh and chunky — just the way I like it. The vegetables were also in substantial amounts. Quinoa was decently cooked, not too soggy.
There’s also a dressing/condiments table. I love the fried onions, which adds a crunch to the meal. No complaints about APT, a place where always serve consistently good poke!
First off, I really love their onion bagels. Would highly recommend for people who love their onions. It’s really super fragrant and tasty.
I appreciate that they toast the bagels upon order — ensuring that they remain crispy and hot when eating. The ingredients are super good too! There was a generous amount of the meat. The bagels slabbed with avocado/hummus/cream cheese that complements the ingredients.
My only gripe will be that the chicken/mushrooms can be slightly oily and greasy. But overall a really quality bagel, and filling as well!
Only tried it because of burpple one-for-one and was craving for ramen. It was the only one near me.
Didn’t disappoint! Soup was pretty robust, but slightly too thick for my liking! Would have liked it more if it was more watered down. But it was still a pretty good soup overall, just that I was a tad little thirsty after the meal!
The chashu was tender and decently well-marinated. Also, appreciated that there were bamboo shoots and corns - they really added a crunch to the ramen.
Ramen was well-done, had a bite to it just the way I like it. Overall would recommend if you’re around the area to satisfy that ramen itch.
Haven’t been back for about 5 years or so. Used to love it so much, and glad my trip back did not disappoint!
It was really crispy and the batter was so so tasty and evenly coated. Fish was also fresh and had a nice bite with it. The chilli really went well with the fish. If only I can dabao the chilli!!
Decent amount of wokhey- but wish it was stronger still. It was pretty tasty, but did not like that the serving was so small and expensive. Would visit other places to get my wokhey fix definitely. Soup is pretty robust, can really taste that it had been simmered with prawn essence for some time!
The prawn rolls were really good though, would recommend!
Tender and juicy drumsticks. Substantial amount of meat 🍖
Very well marinated, super tasty and satisfying to eat. One of the best places to satisfy my Korean Fried Chicken cravings!! And you can always rely on it for good chicken. Very consistent standards.
Good coffee and super worth it with one-for-one promotion! Little quaint shop tucked in a corner of BB Complex. Really love the minimalistic design of the shop!
One of the best aglio olio in SG!
Spaghetti was al dente. I appreciated that it was slightly saucy which enhances the flavor. It was a right amount of garlicky taste, and wasn’t too oily. Many pastas can be too oily and after eating you’ll feel very surfeited. There was a fair amount of seafood - two decently sized prawns, clams and squids. Would definitely revisit :)
A bowl of simple yet flavorful chicken broth ramen. Tasted very homely and easy on the palate! Found myself finishing the soup easily and feeling very much satisfied.
Charsiew was also well-done - very tender and had the right balance of fats to lean meat.
Would definitely patronize Marutama again for no-frills amazing ramen!
First 10 slurps were amazing. Very powerful chicken broth.. but after that it’s just too jelak and unenjoyable. The soup was simply too thick and rich. And this was notwithstanding getting the less salty & no oil combi. Would be a lot more pleasant if the soup was less thick. Not a fan of yellow ramen noodles as well because I feel that the yellow taste ruins the soup. The after effects of the ramen was felt when I found myself reaching for the water to quench my insatiable thirst after the meal too.
The trout was insanely fresh and tender. It was extremely juicy as well. The sauce that was drizzled over it was super delicious as well, and coupled perfectly with the freshness of the trout.
The zucchini noodles were crunchy and its sauce (pesto mayo) was refreshing. Sometimes I still think about the trout ☺️
Diabetes. Everything was sweet. Remembered that the icecream didn’t taste like anything, it was such a cold side to the hot waffle.
The waffle was drizzled with maple syrup, which was way too sweet for me to enjoy the waffles. The batter of the waffles wasn’t as fragrant as I’d like it to be.
