This chocolate lava cake utterly exceeded my expectations. Perfectly gooey and molten, i just wanted to drown in that hot mess! Paired with the earl grey ice cream (reminded me of Liho earl grey milk tea 🤣), it was utter heaven. The only thing that might possibly hold me back would be the price at $9.70. Other than that, an absolute devilishly chocolate-ty delight.
Ps. Their salted caramel ice-cream is really good as well.

Glad i gave them a second try cos the first time i went, there was a 1-for-1 and the pearls weren’t up to standard. This time round though the pearls were chewier and softer, albeit not the best i had.
I got the matcha latte with sesame pearls ($4.50 +$0.90). The matcha latte was just a tad bit grainy but still quite smooth and the drink was pleasantly sweet with just a tinge of bitterness from the matcha at 25% sugar. The periodic bursts of sesame gave it a savory tone and made it a really enjoyable drink throughout.

Yakult green tea with 3 pearls ($3.80 + $0.90).
Yakult green tea is just as it sounds, yakult and green tea. Nothing impressive. Honestly i think i can make it myself...
Their 3 pearls consisted of the sesame pearls, chrysanthemum & pink cactus. The pink cactus was quite sweet and tasted rather artificial while the chrysanthemum just tasted like any other ordinary pearls - could be that I can’t tell the difference as it may overlap with the green tea yakult. Sesame pearls were the best with the prominent taste of sesame and added another dimension to this otherwise average drink. Though, overall the pearls were not the best pearls i had as they were rather hard & too chewy for my liking - not sure if it it’s supposed to taste like that or is it cos they weren’t freshly made.

Got the aqua green tea ($2.90) with taro bobo pearls (+$0.90). The green tea was okay pretty average tea while the taro boba were overall chewy with a taro taste that I wouldn’t call distinct. Still, definitely better than most taro pearls i have tried in SG.

Finally got around to trying Shake Shack. I actually tried it before in Seoul but it was unmemorable. Glad that the one in SG is better.
~~
SmokeShack burger ($10.90) was a decent albeit rather spicy burger - sauce overpowered the patty for me. The bun was good but denser than how i would like it and not as crispy so as i got towards the end of the bun-soaked sauce, it reminded me of a french toast opps.
~~
Cheese fries ($5.90) was really quite delicious though for a cheese lover for me the sauce was not as cheesy but rather more creamy. However, everything else was good.
~~
Chocolate milkshake ($6.90) was creamy asf and not gelat if shared between 2 people.
~~
Shackmeister ale ($9.50) was a light and smooth ale with just a tinge of bitterness that goes well with greasy food. But for $9.50 I can’t say it’s worth it 💁🏻‍♀️

Overall, Shake Shack was a pretty enjoyable meal and i may just go back and try the rest of their food if the queue was shorter.

Their pork ribs were really succulent and the meat so tender that it slides right off the bone - just as pork ribs should! Sadly their steak fell short for me and was rather tough to eat with the brown sauce being a bit too salty. Other than that, service was great! They even gave us a free beer cos they messed up one of our order. Will definitely be back again especially with the 1-for-1 burpple offer.

Terriyaki chicken rice bowl ($9.90) their terriyaki was juicy and pretty damn good. Onsen egg was also on-point and really added another dimension to the otherwise sweet terriyaki sauce. Portion wise it was a decent meal. It also came with a salad that is well pretty ordinary.

Although sandwich is in their name, personally, i would have gone for their bibimbap any other day. Their vegetarian bibimbap ($12.90) was better than their saigon special and garlic chicken sandwich ($8).
Albeit, the sandwich itself was toasted quite well however, it was not the most delectable sandwich out there. Unfortunately, the ingredients did not help make up for it. It was at most lackluster in flavor and a rather dry affair for the most part - would have been an immensely better experience if they added more of the signature Vietnamese taste kind of sweet, slightly spicy and sour sauce in their sandwiches.
Portion wise, it’s also quite small...

From the mini chirashi don ($6) which comprised of fresh ingredients to the crispy soft shell crab handroll ($3.80), almost everything was delicious.
For salmon lovers, i would recommend the salted egg salmon ($2.80) that was surprisingly good. Alongside, the grilled salmon ($2.30).
Another must get would be their kake udon ($4.20), which soup is honestly flavorful yet light on your palette. But maybe i am just a sucker for udons 💁🏻‍♀️. Their no-nonsense chawanmushi ($2.50) was also velvety and simply tasty.
At $1.90 for 1, i would skip on the salmon belly as it really did not differ much from the salmon sashimi. Sadly, the scallop sushi ($3.80) was a miss for me.

Went there for the pizza but instead it was their mac n cheese that blew my goddamn mind. Would 💯 travel for it. The mac n cheese ($16) was rich, creamy, so damn savory BUT not gelat at all.
Also tried their arrancini ($9) and it was okay. Not the best i had.
Pizzas were all good, crust were thin but none of the pizzas were extraordinary. Favorite would be their mushroom pizza. If you enjoy pizzas and happen to be nearby, would recommend heading there for a good ole’ pizza but don’t expect to be wow-ed.
*1-for-1 only applied for the pizzas.
Downside: waited for nearly 2 hours cos the cashier completely forgot our order...

Their garlic herb prawn ($12) were quite good. Prawns were really fresh and not overcooked.

Tandoori wrap set was underwhelming. Taste wise, it was okay not the best. But for it’s price ($10.90) i would have expected a decently sized wrap instead i feel like i got the kid size. Literally gone in 5 bites... Let’s not even talk abt their sides of chip and salad which is well not worth mentioning...
I also had their magherita pizza ($15.90) which sadly tasted like store bought crust??
For desserts, i tried their injeolmi ($12.90) and avocado ($15.90) bingsu. While the avocado bingsu tasted surprisingly good with the condensed milk and gula melaka sauce, it was ruined by the chunky ice that well just taste like plain ice. The injeolmi were also hard and disappointing.
Even with the 1-for-1 it’s simply not worth it.
