Their tiramisu comes in a big block and the sponge fingers are well saturated in coffee so it's really moist. There's a sufficient amount of alcohol and mascarpone to keep me happy as well.
Actually, as I was quite full from the pizza, my initial plan was to get the tiramisu to enjoy later at home but the staff explained that they don't do takeaways for any of their three desserts. So we ended up having it at Bottega itself with a cup of black coffee. It was a satisfying end to our meal.

This is how bread should be done. Especially amazing when it's freshly baked, they have many yummy flavors such as banana chocolate, basil cheese, and bacon, tomato & egg mayo. This has become an almost daily affair for breakfast. It's slightly pricier than a bun at your regular neighbourhood bakery, but it's slightly bigger and worth every cent. Give it a try!

One of them - Sambal kang kong and prawns, using homemade lard oil. This delicious lard oil was infused with some aromatics(check out my Ig story). Very very spicy and shiok!

Trying new stall Huat Huat #02-080. Simply named 'Taiwanese Food', this stall that sits on the same row as Joo Chiat Beef Noodles fries up some of the most scrumptious har jeong kai around. A splendidly crispy batter encases the well seasoned chicken wing, resulting in flavor bombs that burst with savory flavor in your mouth with every bite. The prawn paste is perfectly fragrant, making its presence felt in every bite. When paired up with the sour and surprisingly moreish chili sauce, it hits all of the right notes on your tastebuds and creates a symphony of flavor.

Better yet, these wings are gracefully grease-light, resulting in the crisp batter staying crunchy and appealing right down to the last wing. This is only the second place that has impressed me with their har jeong kai, and I wish that this stall was right next to Smith Street Taps. Because chicken wings this good are just begging to be paired with a good beer.

If you live or work in the Buona Vista and One North area, you might want to take note of @coalesce.sg.
This new-ish casual restaurant at NTU's Alumni Building is very spacious and offers a big enough selection of dishes, which makes it suitable for group gatherings.
On a recent visit, we tried their excellent value-for-money $8.80+ set lunch, plus a couple of their fusion dishes. One of them was the Ground Beef Rendang with Puff Pastry. Poke your fork through the light, flaky and buttery pastry "lid" and you'll find a good amount of tender ground beef that's been simmered in rendang spices beneath. For those after something spicy and meaty, this would be a good choice.

Saw some posts about these online and decided to give it a go. Unfortunately I found the flavours rather off from what I was expecting — the fillings were somewhat of a sweeter Mung Bean filling possibly with a hint of condensed milk, but definitely nothing similar to the Milo we are all familiar with. That being said, the Kueh seems to be brilliantly made (they make all their Kueh in house here); the glistening skin that is chewy hey doesn't stick to the teeth — pretty bouncy even. Probably it would have been a better experience to stick with the more conventional flavours here which would taste the part, but I must say Green Tea Ang Ku Kueh and Kopi Ang Ku Kueh here sounds rather enticing too ...

So happy that the folks behind Merely Ice-Cream had expanded — they had just opened their new outlet at Our Tampines Hub on Saturday, making it more convenient for easties to have their ice-cream fix with their unique flavours. Currently not everything from the main branch is available; for instance, the Tampines outlet had not yet started serving waffles nor beverages.

The Oreo Milk is everything I remembered it to be — one of my few go-to flavours at Merely Ice-Cream when I just don't want to try nor decide. I always liked how it's like the ice-cream version of the Oreo Crush drink that bubble tea stalls offer; the flavours of Oreo so much richer than your usual cookies and cream offering, yet still comes with crumbs to chew on. Congratulations to the folks behind Merely Ice-Cream for the opening of their second outlet!

We really liked the home-style cooking at this air-conditioned eatery in Bukit Indah, Johor. The three of us ordered a total of five dishes for our early lunch: pomfret steamed with dried chillies and garlic, stir-fried bittergourd with roasted pork belly, a preserved radish omelette, onions with anchovies plus a dish of braised tofu, "taupok" and egg. They all tasted fresh and delicious. Apart from the bittergourd, the rest seemed quite healthy without excessive oil or salt.
Needless to say, the favourable SGD-MYR exchange rate prompted the affordable pricing to be even more attractive. Our bill, inclusive of two bowls of rice and three drinks, came to MYR94 (about SGD30).

This is by far the best Red Ruby I've tried. They drizzled what i think was the coconut milk over the dessert unlike those served in Kopitiam Food Court.

I'm not sure why I don't see anyone reviewing on this Red Ruby because I think it does deserve a good review/rating.

P.S. I haven't tried that many Red Ruby dessert if you're wondering. I'll continue to search for more Red Ruby and if i manage to find one which quality/standard surpasses this, I'll definitely provide an update! Meanwhile, do try this Red Ruby! Oh no... you will not regret ☺️
