Run by two young, pretty Thai sisters, this stall (#01-65) which opened in Old Airport Road Food Centre about 3 months ago, sells a few Thai noodles, claypot beef and beef tendon soup plus a couple of accompanying sides. One of them told me they had previously operated for 3 months at Golden Mile Complex and their mum is also in the food business in Bangkok, so I had high hopes that their food would be tasty.
I picked the Thai Bak Mee ($4) and loved it! The noodles had to be well tossed so that the seasonings were evenly distributed but once that was done, every chopstick-ful of noodles tasted divine. It had an excellent mix of sour, spicy and sweet. There was a bit of minced and sliced pork in there too which tasted fresh. In terms of noodles, you get to pick from 4 types - I went for the glass one.
Portions here tend to be on the small side, similar to what you get in Thailand. The same applied to our large order of the claypot beef and tendon soup, served with a bowl of rice ($10). There‘s however, no faulting the taste nor the tenderness of the chunks of beef and tendon. Soup was aromatic as well.
I really liked the fishcakes very much ($5 for 4pcs) because they were fragrant, more spicy than most and chockfull of roughly chopped herbs. One of the sisters told me they buy “batang” fish from the market and make it from scratch themselves. If you decide to try the food at this stall, I recommend getting this to share.

I would request for the steak to be done medium rare next time!The potato mille feuille was crispy and well-seasoned! If only all potatoes taste this good..... 😍😍 For the affordable pricing and above-average food quality, I would not mind coming here again if I'm around the area!Shall order the pork loin next time!

Part of the 12 Ann Siang concept, Catchfly is their New York speakeasy helmed by Liam Baer. They have recently expanded their menu to incorporate more main courses to become a full fledged dining venue (instead of just a bar with bar bites). This dessert seems to have been brought down from their Coriander Leaf Grill menu, but it hits all the right notes. The crunch and coffee hit from the crumble, the freshness from the frozen raspberries compliment the light, yet luxurious Baileys mousse and provide a variety of textures in every mouthful - certainly something to come back for. #burpple #catchflysg
