Spicy Crab Pappardelle | $24 Chilli crab pasta with cherry tomatoes, bird’s eye chillies, topped with shredded cheese and green pesto.

Crispy fish tacos $25++ The dish was served really quickly. There were 3 tacos, with crispy taco shells that tasted like nacho chips, with one piece of fried halibut fish tender in each taco, topped with some mayonnaise and mango salsa. It was overall very flavourful, with many different flavours from the mango, mayonnaise and sauce. The fish itself was fresh and tender and crispy on the outside. There were also fresh curly fries and salad which were all delicious.

Chili Crab Pasta $26+ Portion was quite generous, and the chili crab given was also very generous! Flavour wise was not too salty and spicy, tasted like tomato-base with some chili, served with pine nuts, which added a crunch to the dish.

Jai Ho Some salad to get my body ready for all the heaty cny eating coming up during this season. When I first tried the Indian spiced yogurt dressing, I thought it wasn't very impressive. But when I combined it with the tandoori chicken, it was very good!

NEW RESTAURANT TO CHECK OUT IN CHIJMES Dew by Whitegrass opens as a casual off-shoot by One Michelin-starred Whitegrass, serving curated small plates with European flavours and an Asian twist. On the menu are dishes that include the Prosciutto On Brioche, made with a base of house baked black sesame brioche layered with Italian stracciatella cheese and Spanish prosciutto, and finished with marinated tomatoes.

Nara Sake Kasu ($8) My personal fav - the Nara Sake Kasu is an ice cream made from sake lees. It was floral, fragrant and refreshing, and punctuated with mellow, peppery tones from the black pepper.

D’ Little Kiss Cheesecake ($12) The housemade cheesecake has a smooth creamy texture enriched by a lovely boozy tang of the red wine sauce.

Hyuganatsu Tart Probably the last post with Tarte by Cheryl Koh for this current Chinese New Year season, unless they are going to release yet another creation in line with the occasion. Found ourselves returning back to their Shaw Centre outlet this time round — it has been a while since we returned to this spot and we are reminded of the difference between the vibes of their Raffles City outlet and this one; the outlet at Shaw Centre being quite a quiet nook to hide away from all the crowd around the hustle and bustle of Orchard Road with a view of Claymore Hill from above. This is also not to mention how the Shaw Centre outlet also carries a wider selection of beverages as compared to their Raffles City location to pair with their tarts and cakes. Released a day after our visit to Tarte by Cheryl Koh’s Raffles City outlet for the Orange Sesame Cake, the Hyuganatsu Tart is something closer to that of the usual selection of tarts that are available at Tarte by Cheryl Koh; a tart that somewhat places an emphasis more on the use of seasonal fruits and to bring out the quality of the produce that they use in their tart offerings. The Hyuganatsu Tart takes its name from the Hyuganatsu; a fruit from the citrus family that is said to be sourced from the Miyazaki Prefecture in Kyushu, Japan. The Hyuganatsu Tart sees sliced up and de-skinned Hyuganatsu that tops the pasty cream layer — all that sitting atop their usual tart base. Slicing the tart down, the tart itself crumbles down neatly without shattering into tiny crumbs; the pastry cream layer also acting as a neutral element that binds both the tart base and the fruits together. Having everything altogether, the Hyuganatsu Tart a sweetness and zingy note that is almost like crossover between Yuzu and grapefruit — the zingy notes being rather intricate especially considering how the tang also comes with a slight bitter undertone typical of that of a pomelo. Texture-wise, we really loved how the Hyuganatsu just carry a fleshy, juicy bite almost like a really fresh wedge of orange. A great attempt to introduce the produce through their signature tart creations; yet another one to try before the current season ends!

Yuzu Meringue Tart I am a fan of Yuzu and I am excited that Tarte by Cheryl Koh collaborates with Hybrid Tourism Event to launch two desserts made using yuzu from Kochi Prefecture. Service lacking graciousness very confusing Burpple Beyond rules for this establishment, so we clarified w the waitress, who told us that the tacos were 2 for 1, that the pair of more expensive tacos would be charged. But when we made payment, it turned out that we were informed wrongly. Yet, the cashier on duty did not give us the 1-for-1 as the waitress had initially told us. Extremely disappointed with their lack of graciousness in recognizing their own error

Mix Kebab Tombik | $10 Chicken Kebab and Beef Kebab (mix), tomato, onion, lettuce, red cabbage, pickles, Tombik-bread, garlic-yogurt sauce, chili-sauce. It was extremely flavourful and I definitely enjoyed my meal.

Awesome Beef Tombik $8.5 Beef is very well seasoned, Tombik is light, fluffy and tasty as well!

Mixed Pide, Hummus And Beef Tombik An unassuming storefront dishing up authentic and delicious Turkish food right in the heart of Millenia walk, Donergy definitely delivered to our pleasant surprise - freshly rolled dough and oven baked goodness of Turkish flat breads and their unique version of our commonly known pizza (Pide). The greedy sloth in me had to have the best of all worlds, so I ordered the Mushroom Pide with additional spinach ($14) since all of them had cheese as their base. The well blistered dough topped with generous gooey melted mozzarella cheese proved a downright comforting treat to the tummy, which my polished plate rightfully proved. The Beef Tombik ($8.50) came with a hearty portion of beef slices and mixed slaw which congealed together quite darn deliciously within the warm, fluffy and airy bread, which texture was similar to our leavened Naan bread. Lastly, the hummus ($6) arrived chilled with nicely arranged triangular slices of what appeared to be the flatbread used for the Tombik, and was a perfect union eaten together. While I would have wished for a more creamy texture, this generous plate sufficed for its affordable price tag. Best part? This eatery comes with NO gst and svc, and additional bonus is the good looking Turkish community who straddle in for a simple and quick meal in the midst of a hurried day 👀

Curried mentaiko egg mayo - Curried egg salad topped with generous mentaiko mayo, tonkatsu sauce, furikake and tempura crumbs, providing a medley of textures and spiced umami flavours that went well together! - Sourdough was well-toasted and didn’t turn soggy 🍞 - Quite rich, would recommend to share 🤭 [7.5/10]  

Sichuan mala tater tots - Crispy but sichuan seasoning and green pepper oil were too overwhelming for me, to be fair I’m not a mala fan though 🫣 - Mala mayo on the side gave a stronger numbing sensation than spiciness that I would’ve otherwise preferred. - A unique twist but I personally would stick to the usual truffle option. [6/10]

Grilled cheese - Mix of cheddar, mozzarella and blue cheese mayo which was very savoury yet not pungent, pairing well with the tangy tomato dip 🧀 - Sourdough had a perfectly crispy exterior! [8/10]

Prosciutto E Rucola I ordered this Prosciutto E Rucola (S$30.00) through the Oddle Eats platform, and this was one of the more satisfying takeaway pizzas to date. The dough was to my liking: airy and not too dense, with a good balance of crustiness to every bite. It was very nice of them to have packed the arugula and shaved parmigiana separately so that the greens remained raw when served. Apart from the parma ham, another important element was the sauce tub of chilli oil that accompanied the pizza. I’m sure many would agree that one tub was barely enough to go with the pizza, because it could make the already-delicious pizza even more mouth-watering.

Tonnareli Nero 28++ One of the best I've had as of 7/7/21. This tiny portion costs 28++ so savour it slowly but damn the sauce was so full of crab essence. Can only imagine the hours that went into it. Must try! We had pizza and bread so this portion worked for the two of us(anything larger and we wouldn't have finished). Cicheti serves restaurant quality Italian at restaurant prices but at such an ulu place. Their food is fortunately a cut above the rest though so the prices are kind of justified

Chili Oil Off menu. Request for it to go with your pizza. It was uh-mazing. I'm really glad the chili is real, there's quite some heat so it isn't just oil. There's a distinct Asian influence, almost sort of a mild funk to it but the edge is taken away since it's only an infusion. Good to enjoy by dipping the crust in, esp for monsters that usually throw the crust away
