According to the boyfriend, the drip coffee was really good with a kick but the ice blended royal hazelnut I had was just bad. Just syrupy and sweet and tasted artificial.
This place certainly lives up to the hype. Hard to get to and parking is a pain (unless you're lucky enough to get a lot within the premise) but certainly worth a visit. Their menu is small but each dish is very well done! This pork rack was well marinated and goes really well with the interesting side dishes of braised cabbage and grape compote. Decent prices with no service charge or GST, made even more worthwhile with the entertainer app.
Food was decent I suppose but not enough to bring me back again. The mentaiko pasta was creamy with some umami flavors from the seaweed, delicious at first but got quite heavy and jelat towards the end.
I have become a repeat customer since this place opened last year! Would usually order the kimchi stew but decided to order this grilled pork to share this time as well, good choice really yummy (although a little sweet so get this only for sharing). You know the place must be good when it's already half filled with Koreans by slightly past 6pm on a Wednesday.
Posh place, good food, decent prices. Have been here for both their morning dimsums and dinners. Service also prompt even during busy hours.
I could really have had the horfun alone with the savory soy sauce gravy it was that delicious! But I obviously didn't, not when the other dishes are also equally yummy, like the chicken and the roast pork.
Both the beef and the seafood horfun were delicious. Especially the beef horfun that had black beans, enhancing the flavors of the gravy. Pair it with an iced honey citron for a very satisfying meal!
Located on the upper level of the stretch of restaurants along the Punggol Settlement, Trunk at Bay serves pretty good Thai food. It's probably a little overshadowed by the Chinese restaurants below but worth a try. Spice level is pretty high so prepare to perspire a little!
Returned here after two years for this mussels and clams pot. The broth has been changed (used to be a clear broth instead of a milky one) but still delicious. The mains here are on the pricier side but I guess the huge portions make up for it.
Oyster omelette is one of my favorite Singapore hawker food and I especially love this one from east coast. There are many stalls there but I always buy from stall that is on the side very near the car park. And they only sell oyster omelette so you know they must be good!
Had the pork belly charsiew croissant with scrambled eggs - sounds very heavy but it wasn't at all. Good balance of flavors with the sweet charsiew glaze and savory everything else.
Super yummy (and unhealthy) food. This blackened pork was nicely charred, although the portion is quite small, could have done with a little more of the mash potato.
