I really did enjoy this bowl of seafood soondubu, which came with a nice variety of seafood including a piece of scallop and crab. But Iām not sure if Iād pay $24++ for it again. Unlike other Korean restaurants, they also didnāt serve many side dishes. Only a small portion of carrots and spinach was given with the meal.
Was so yummy and addictive. Quite generous with the sauce, mayo, and tender beef slices! The garlic soy chicken wings were quite good too, but didn't particularly stand out from other Korean fried chicken places. The yangnyum was too sweet and got a little jelat after a while.
The set lunch here is really the best deal ever, comes with a pumpkin porridge for appetizer, six side dishes, and even a slice of fruit and a serving of fruit vinegar to finish off the meal. There are about 8 main dish choices in the set lunch menu and this tasty spicy beef soup is my favorite, with generous amounts of beef and vegetables. Very yummy and complete meal.
I have become a repeat customer since this place opened last year! Would usually order the kimchi stew but decided to order this grilled pork to share this time as well, good choice really yummy (although a little sweet so get this only for sharing). You know the place must be good when it's already half filled with Koreans by slightly past 6pm on a Wednesday.
This cut of pork is famous for being juicy and tender despite minimal fats. A must try for sure. The fluffy eggs cooked on the side of the grill is also very flavorful, a good complement to the grilled meats. We also had the matcha patbingsoo which came with a generous scoop of matcha ice cream and matcha powder on top - a cooling way to end off a hearty meal! The staff are also very friendly and prompt with their service. Visit now for the opening promo and receive a $38 return voucher with $80 spent.
Decided to give this new place a try! The fried chicken with the rice was really yummy, crispy and light without being greasy! The Korean fried chicken that we ordered for sharing was a disappointment though, the sauce wasn't quite like the usual kind I was expecting and the worst part was that it's COLD. Like from the fridge kind of cold. Wasn't much but we couldn't even make ourselves finish it...
This must be one of the best Korean places I've been to! A small shop space in an old quiet shopping centre, this place is no frills but I knew it'd be good when I saw people crowding around outside before they opened. We had the spicy beef soup and seafood soondubu jiggae and both were really satisfying! And the portions are much bigger than those you find in other places that comes in those small stingy stone pots. Drink the soup to your heart's content, and best part is it's kept hot throughout the whole meal (just look at how aggressively it's bubbling when it came). Warning that it gets super spicy towards the end though, there's chili padi in the soup. Served with four banchan which were refilled automatically by the staff šš¼.
Nothing to rave about really. The soup base for the army stew was good (probably thanks to ramyun seasoning) but everything else was just average. Was also surprised that the soups and stews did not come with white rice - I expect that all authentic Korean restaurants would at least serve their mains with rice and a slice or two of watermelon for dessert.
Three of us had this giant pan of chicken and seafood consisting of prawns, mussels, octopus, squid. Also ordered the extra toppings set and cheese. The spicy sauce was really good at the beginning, but since the whole meal was basically this, the taste got a little tiring at the end. Probably should have ordered a smaller portion and some other dishes! Overall a decent experience but 90 over bucks for this feels a little too pricy for me to return again.
Thick, sour and spicy; super shiok! With all these spicy food, this place needs stronger aircon š
CHEAP AND GOOD is all I have to say! Will be nice if they gave both anchovies and kimchi for side dishes; you can only choose one. But I'm not complaining since the portion is generous!
For 40 bucks after taxes and service charge, this giant hotpot is super value for money! With lots of squid, prawns, clams, flower crab, enoki mushrooms and other veggies and a soothing soup, this pot is good for 4. A smaller one for 2 is also available. The side dishes or banchan here are not too impressive compared to other places but for the price, I won't be asking for too much.
