It has been a while since I had a matcha bingsu ($15.90) and decide to try. I feel that the ingredients such as red bean and matcha powder became lesser. I guess it can't be help that they have to cut cost without increasing the price. Also, I liked that it charge nett price
It was their 11th anniversary for their first outlet and they had the Duo Delight buffet promotion for $69.90. First time Hai Di Lao had this buffet promotion and really worth the money given its quality of the meat. 😋
Probably eaten $150 worth of items
Had the Rosti ($10.80) as it was their signature item. I was kind of excited for it but was kind of let down. The rosti is not crispy than I was expecting it to be.
I feel that Ivan's Carbina's Rosti is much better
Having some of my favourite such as He Zhong Carrot Cake ($4), Zhou Pin 粥品 ceuntry egg pork porridge ($3.50) & Amoy Chendol ($2) before they might be gone. Do try before the food centre closed for renovation
Cheap Katsu at only $5.90. Rice was moist with the help of the egg and portion of meat is generous. However, I feel that the chicken is kind of tough but better than those in food centre at a similar price point
Ice cream was not bad, but I feel that the waffle is kind of doughy and not as good as previously. Also, no longer have characol waffle
Was excited to try the Everton Park outlet as there is some special item such as cauliflower fritters. However, I feel that although the cauliflower fritter is flavourful, it is not crispy and hot enough.
The toast is also dry, hard and not hot. Compared to the Upper Thomson outlet. This kind of lose.
Ordered the Salted Egg Pork Rib ($6.50) + egg ($0.70) and it was delicious and filling. This explain the long line of queue waiting for seats
It has been 3 years since having mookata in school hence decide to give it a try. Even though price has increase, $25 for 3 pax mookata is still worth it.
Had the new Kakiage Don which is like a single piece of fritters with all the vegetable, prawn and squid condensed together.
Price is reasonable and worth it.
Saw that there is waffle with omelette ($2.80) hence decided to give it a try. The waffle smell nice and tasty but omelette feel kind of dry. I think their sauce item wouls be better
After more than a year, came to Canteen 11 for the economic rice. Even though price has increased due to inflation, it still attract lots of crowd.
Had 2 portion of 2 meat & 2 veg & 2 rice for 2 pax for $11.20.
