Visited Three Good Guys today after hearing about their salted egg stir fry. In my honest opinion, I felt like this was more of a miss of me. The salted egg flavour was flat and one dimensional, just creamy and that’s all. There was nothing special about it but I can foresee why people would like this, guess salted egg just isn’t my thing! Got really gelat at the end.
Their Mala on the other hand was much better, hit all the good spots of a good MLXG. I’d personally suggest going for the mala instead, you can still order a small portion of salted egg one since there’s no minimum spend for one at all. Ordered da la and it was spicy yet very fragrant. Thumbs up for the Mala.
8 servings of veggies ($1/portion) & 1 pork skin ($2/meat portion) came up to $15.50, which came as a shock to me since there was no mention of a surcharge for the pot base at all on their signboards/menu. They could afford to have more transparent prices in the future — from what I understand they just opened a week ago!
Found this 24 hour MLXG spot at Kovan. This cost $15 which is an pretty affordable price from MLXG charging by weight. They’ve great a good variety of ingredients including pig intestines & really a wide array of veggies, beancurds, etc. ordered this in 大辣 which was a bad choice because it was really pretty spicy. It was really flavourful though. Would definitely go back for this if I happen to be in the area!
Really good for ~$15. Well grilled and nicely toasted.
There was no queue at around 5pm at Chinatown point. Got the one with the cream mousse at $5.30. So overrated!
Honestly — one of the worst brown sugar drinks out there. It was diluted and the pearls were hard inside. Don’t get the craze out this. Hollin/RB tea offers a much better one at a cheaper price.

Really worth it with Burpple Beyond! Got two large cups of these for only $13.90! 😫 generous portions & nice presentation. :)
Prices ranges from $12.90-15.90, decent mazesoba in the heart of bugis, really loved the original mazesoba — everything when mixed together came really well and the flavours were complimented by each other! Definitely a must try for the spring onion lovers out there! Do get the original mazesoba over the specialty one, the original was really good!
Portions seems to be shrinking a little, the bowl’s actually really small but the foie gras always wins me over. At $19.90++ for this short rib foie gras don, it was a good and decadent treat with the thickness and the full bodied flavour of the sinful foie gras! Convenient meal to get & the truffled short rib and rice came together really well in the bowl.
They rotate their softserve flavours & this time round I got their peach oolong softserved paired with salted egg mochi balls! Nice ambience and this dessert had a really unique combination, but it was a little pricey for the portion at around $14-16+. Would still recommend this unique dessert if you’re in the vicinity of Haji Lane!

So so satisfying. At $39.90+ this isn’t the cheapest meal out there but it was well worth every single cent. Opted for half portion of grilled and half portion of salted eel & you can’t go wrong with that. I personally like the grilled one better but the salted (lighter coloured) eel was definitely worth a try! Served with refillable broth and toppings, it was a really satisfying end of week meal!
At $50++ per eels, this was surely on the pricier side but it was well worth every cent. Glazed and crispy on the outside yet soft and flavourful on the inside, this eel was literally grilled to perfection! Really fresh & I can’t find any room for complaints, well maybe except for the service. But that aside, this eel is comparable to the ones I had in Nagoya!
