Major love for this new released bun from @sweehengsg that’s worth it!
P.S. There are 2 pieces of mochi hidden inside the bun. ・

If you're looking for a dessert after your meal here, you'll find it where you least expected it - the pizza section. And it's such a refreshing change from the typical Korean desserts that has dominated our dining scene here.
🔸
This pizza has sweet potato puree on baked tortilla wraps, served warm. It'll be a lovely contrast in temperature as you dip it into the cold soft whipped cream. Surprisingly light and addictive.

Vegetarian Fried Horfun ($12)
.
When in doubt on what dish to order, one can pick up easy clues peering over other diner’s tables. This fried horfun instantly caught our eye with that charred rice noodles hinting at the strong wok-hei which would be expected in the dish. This dish delivered as expected and had us meeting the vegetables quota for the day with so much of chopped kai lan that added a crunchy texture to the dish. A good choice of carbs for the meal!

Was so tempting to try when i saw it online. experience eating thr was indeed 10/10🤘🏼i really love the ikan sambal bali😂

H O S T E D
Mornings just got more marvelous at Firebake with their new breakfast set and all-day items, like this Grilled Vegetable Sandwich. They are served bright and early from 8.30am onwards every day, including weekends.
If you are looking for a substantial meatless option, you should totally get this. Between the lightly-toasted slices of the Wave bread (Firebake’s signature white sourdough) are thick slices of grilled courgette, chunks of portobello mushroom and creamy pieces of brie. The “icing-on-the-cake” in this case is the housemade Kasundi, an Indian-style relish concocted from mustard, tomatoes and chickpeas. It adds an exotic punch of flavour to the mix, thereby teleporting this sandwich from the West to the East in one swipe.
The good news for you late-risers is that it’s available all day till 5.30pm. So don’t worry about having to crawl out of bed before midday for this.

An exceptional dining experience of comfort grub will sum up my first visit (finally) to South Union Park. And it started right from the beginning with the above show stopping starter. A butter like jar of chicken liver pate is topped generously with chopped fibrous garnish (i.e onions etc). Beside, slices of buttered and grilled white country bread- with evident charred tasting black stripes that added an authentic dimension. Marry the two together and it’s as if you’d hear wedding bells ringing.
Close an eye and it will pass off as foie gras for beginners; regardless this is officially something I will return for.

No exaggeration, but I think this mind meltingly good bowl of foie gras is some of the best I’ve had. Chef Chiang’s very first original creation in 1997, it has remained in Restaurant André’s hallowed halls since its inception.

The first mouthful of unadulterated pleasure will have you going back for more and more of that luxuriously creamy custard lacquered with black truffle coulis and chives, but when the final spoonful is finished, the memory of its lush velvetine smoothness will last far beyond the night.

Taste: 5/5

Tried the thin noodle instead of Mee Pok today. Forgotten to request for the noodle to be tough, QQ, not over cooked, turnout it was max al dente! Only thing is part of the noodle tend to stick together. Overall still my current favourite bowl of BCM

Chanced upon this eatery, just over 2 months old.

Beef horfun in black bean sauce. Generous amount of gravy with egg mixed in it. Gooey and eggy. Most importantly, the kwayteow is smooth and slippery with a lingering wokhei finish. Yes.... it is all about the wokhei (smoky).

Quite yummy. Alittle pricey but service is pretty good. Another place for me to go #inmybackyard and away from the noise and the crowds.

This unassuming coffeeshop in Chai Chee is a favourite among the Burpple community for its Fried Prawn Noodles (from $10 for small). The noodle dish uses flat lor mee noodles instead of yellow noodles, features more gravy than regular fried Hokkien noodles, and is big on the wok hei — the latter an absolute plus in our books! This dish is only available on weekdays, so time your visit well. While you're here, order the Fried Sotong ($10), which is crisp around its edges yet wonderfully succulent within, as well as the Black Pepper Crab with Korean Noodles ($40 for two crabs). Burpple Tastemaker Julius Lim loves how the chewy sweet potato noodles soak up all the black pepper flavour for slurp-worthy deliciousness. Gather your friends for a weeknight dinner — the more the merrier, so you can order more, too!
Avg Price: $20 per person
