I finally tried it! The most popular option is the floss & omelette, wrapped in crusty ‘shao bing’ ( baked biscuity texture bread?). Not bad leh! Makes a good option if you feel a bread sandwich is too light.

The $5 small loaf cakes are a great idea… enough to share but not so big that there’s tonnes leftover. Of the ones I tried, liked the banana velvet best. Banana portion is soft & not too sweet. Chocolate cake was not bad, traditional kaya was less my taste. And very friendly service!

Likely one of the most underrated nasi lemaks in my area. About 10 years ago when I moved into Toa Payoh, was already impressed by Delima’s chicken rice. Hadn’t eaten for a long time but recently discovered their nasi lemak also good value. Chicken rice at $3.5, nasi lemak from $3 to $4.5 ( expand pic for full menu). But you gotta eat it while it’s warm!

I always see a queue at this stall, so on the one day with no queue, I swooped! Jawa mee, mee rebus, penang curry mee. Is that orange I taste in the sauce? Or just lime & the color leaving a strong impression? 🤣🤣

My mental ranking of what I’ve tried:
1) chicken chop (so beautifully marinated & charred)
2) pork chop ( so tender)
3) chicken cutlet (if you are a hungry hippo pick this-portion is huge, twice the size in the picture. I thought they gave me someone else’s dinner too!
Pity they ran out of sides. Would have loved to try the potato salad & coleslaw. Pity stomach not big enough 🤣🤣, would’ve loved to try the hawaiin chicken & bangers too. Till next time! 😍

Was a decent plate of fried rice, the eggy rice was plump fluffy individual grains, as food connoisseurs like to say. Turns out the black pepper pork chop had no heat, kids could easily do it (which is a good thing for many, especially kids!). Should have tried the sambal black pepper instead. Actually I preferred the taiwanese chicken cutlet… very crispy. Portions were generous, two plates can actually feed 3 pax. Waiting time at lunch can be abt 20 mins or more cos there was a pile of takeout orders. But bosses were patient & friendly.
