So darn good... [CHINESE GARDEN, SINGAPORE] Westies, this one is for you 😍 I know saying that this may be the best prata in SG is such a bold statement, but come on, with 6/6 people in my group saying the same thing, this is definitely worth a HUGE mention. Their prata base itself was so darn crispy and satisfying. Just think about biting into a crunchy savoury crust, with a fluffy buttery center... You will be addicted! I ordered Cheese ($3) and Egg ($2.40) and I was surprised to know that the egg version was still relatively crispy on the edges 😍 They serve their prata with curry and sambal, and though their curry is aromatic and flavourful without being too salty, their sambal was the bomb. With heavy anchovy flavour, this was so flavourful and changed the whole flavour dimension of the prata! However, do note that the prata is really huge and extremely rich, so maybe 1 or 2 is enough 🤣 I was so stuffed after eating 2! I don't see any halal logo anywhere as well, so do take note!

Egg onion prata Seems abit less soggy than egg prata, and thus better. Not sure if it's one of or it's to do with the addition of onions

Kopi Their kopi is damn diluted it sucks

XO Fish Pao Fan @ $48 The soup was really good. Very flavourful. Had the XO fish Pao Fan as didn't want to get my hands dirty with the crab pao fan. Was not expecting fried fish to be honest. Fish was fresh, but fried fish just not palate. Quite a decent amount of fried fish inside this pot. Soup is refillable. Too filling for 2 pax, I would recommend this for 3 pax and above.

Lousy customer service experience when paying When you come, rmb to tell them beforehand you’re using burpple. They asked misleading questions at the start like “where did you reserve from?”, and blamed us for not saying “I reserved from Burpple”. What is the difference if we had told you beforehand vs after the meal, that we are usinf Burpple? There is no reservation button from Burpple at all. Also mixed up our meat orders. Would not come again.

Great food, choices and 1f1 deal Would definitely come again!! (-: the spread of food for the buffet was good. Fresh seafood, meat and the usual meatballs, tofu and etc. But be aware that most/all staff there (when we were there) only speaks chim Chinese. Luckily my friend was a fluent speaker!

Great service and marinated meat for bbq It’s pretty alright for the hotpot/bbq, nothing fancy but have to agree that they do serve decent quality of meat (esp the marinated pork belly). Limoncello pizza ($29) - White base with mozzarella, parmesan, porcini mushrooms, very flavourful beef sausage and button mushrooms! - I liked the thin pizza dough that’s Neapolitan-style with a crispy crust and a slight chew 🍕 [8/10]

Pandan waffle flat white Was skeptical of the name but this really surprised us with its distinct floral pandan aroma and almost buttery creamy finish. Bought a bag of beans home to enjoy and it was just as good as in store!

Brekki for champions Hearty and filling spread with sourdough, poached eggs, maple espresso bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans, and pork sausage.

Eggs Benedict Went with the unique stewed beef option and enjoyed the perfectly poached eggs and well-marinated beef. The brioche was airy albeit dry, and could do with more hollandaise sauce or butter for added moisture to the dish.

Jing-A Mandarin Wheat For a change, we decided to try out the Jing-A Mandarin Wheat for our second beer! The drink is a Belgium wit and as a result, it is a lot fruitier than the stout we just had, as well as when compared to the other Wheat beers that we have tried here previously. Indeed, we could smell a tinge of oranges and the drink also has slightly citrusy notes, which seem to include flavours of oranges and lemons. This was a really light and refreshing drink, and it is definitely suitable for those of us who don't like the heavy flavours in stout, or the bitterness of IPAs!

4 Pines Stout We are back at Tap for their cheap and good craft beers! Today, we decided to try the 4 Pines stout at Tap first as we wanted to start off with something heavier. The stout, however, tasted rather dry and it was unlike the Peanut Butter Lost Coast stout that we previously tried and was really good. :( Furthermore, it had a pretty boring taste profile and it had no interesting flavours and was just mildly bitter, which is a characteristic of most stouts. Although the 4 Pines stout was rather plain, do take a whiff of it before drinking and you can detect a very faint coffee aroma! Nonetheless, we will probably not get this again as it was a pretty standard stout. Tap surprisingly had quite a few tables full at lunchtime but there are still tables available!

Lost Coast Peanut Butter Choco Stout Come and visit TAP for affordable, and awesome craft beers in Singapore!! :) One of my favourites is the Lost Coast Peanut Butter Choco Stout, which is not as bitter as IPA, and it comes with a slight tinge of a taste resembling peanut butter in it. Makes the aftertaste really unique! 😋

A5 Melting beef set 100g x2 This is the full, 2 pax set. It's really quite pathetic The beef isn't particularly good even, not melty. It's decent, esp if you cook it to medium rare. Quite easy to overcook tbh, so be careful The whole idea of the place is Dashi, l wasn't particularly impressed. It's alright for sure, but if you don't say anything I wouldn't imagine this is a 100bucks Dashi place at all Not to mention the portion is srsly tiny, idk if it even feeds 1

Chope voucher is a scam They said UP 200+, but for 200g UP is only 136++ I really don't understand how they survived after all these years. It's a fake atas place, the prices are up there but everything from the ambience to the staff(not Japanese at all) is not up there at all

Wagyu Don Ordered the most expensive Wagyu Don on a Saturday. With Burpple, I get the Anago Don free. And I can choose two items of side dishes and pay for only one. I chose Chawanmushi and Miso Soup. Quite a good place for lunch with a partner, using Burpple Beyond.

Aburi Salmon Scallop Don Honestly, was a bit disappointed. The scallops didn’t taste fresh. And there wasn’t enough sauce to flavour the rice (unless you count soy sauce)
