So hungry that i forgot to take a picture before eating ๐Ÿ˜… really flavourful risotto in bisque-like sauce

I tried this when there was a 1 for 1 promotion from the Snatch app. Oriole has always been a favourite for me- mainly for the fries. They're so perfectly crisp and coated in Cajun spices. The fish is also great though. The portion size is really huge with thick pieces of fish and it's marinated with some herbs, so it isn't tasteless underneath the crispy batter. Definitely worth trying.

Located at the far end of the second floor of Orchard Central, The Tapas Club is the place to go with friends for authentic Spanish dishes at wallet friendly prices. Tapas, or sharing plates, start from $9.90 and nothing on the menu is over $25. Order their homemade Bread with Olive Oil and Vinegar ($5) to start, before moving on to their tapas. Of all that we tried, we liked the tender Beef Cheeks with Idiazabal Cheese ($12.90), the comforting Egg, Potatoes and Ham ($12.90) and the Baby Squid with Fried Egg ($12.90). Be sure to order the Squid Ink Noodles Paella ($25) that is great for sharing in a small group. The unassuming looking dish is surprisingly flavourful and the little charred noodle bits on the base of the pan fondly reminds us of claypot rice. Mix well for maximum satisfaction. End your meal on a sweet note with their Churros with Chocolate Sauce ($8) โ€” it's one of the better churros we've had in a while.

Basically my three fav ingredients combined โ€” eggs, potato and ham.

Once done with photos, mix everything together before serving. I love the texture of small potato cubes slicked in egg, blanketed in thinly sliced iberico ham.

Typing about this makes me wanna go back to have this again ๐Ÿ‘…๐Ÿ’ฆ #Burpproved

The affordable lunch set from this lovely eatery tucked away in the east in a real gem. We tried almost everything on the lunch menu and everything tasted great. Nothing tasted heavy handed, the pasta was generous with prawns and the duck/chicken confit was delish. The mushroom orzo was definitely a winner too. Definitely pop by for the lunch which was $18 for two courses, and $23 for 3 courses which was a steal for the quality and generosity of ingredients. Will def be back!

Happy would be an understatement when I discovered that PeraMakan has opened a stall within Food Republic at VivoCity. The setup may be more casual and affordable than their fully fledged restaurant, but the food is still just as good.

Choose from a variety of combo sets that comes with a protein - including Ayam Kleo and Babi Pongteh amongst others - and 2 sides of your choice. My Ayam Buah Keluak exuded the pungent, oily nuttiness that is the unmistakeable characteristic of any good Buah Keluak sauce, blanketing the tender whole chicken quarter and rice in thick, inky blackness. I picked Chap Chye and Nyonya Taufu as my sides, and these were redolent with umami from the very decent prawn stock used. Utilize the chilli sauce on the side sparingly, because it packs a big wallop of heat! Overall, a filling and value for money meal that's been made with love.

I've first sampled their hearty dishes at the Keppel Club restaurant and I fell in love. Sadly they are too far out and I could never find a village to eat with me. Anyhow, they have these smaller Tingkat concept at Tangs Orchard and Marina Square! @gnorijul and i had a set each which comes with a meat dish, 2 sides, a dessert, jasmine rice and a drink. Yummy rendang, super flavorful ayam buah keluak (a fast @gnorijul has yet to acquire), alongside a heady chap chye, sayur lemak (using sweet potato and its leaves), nyonya tau hu, and chinchalok omelette. The sets are priced from $10. Super worth it!

Love that it is surprisingly not too oily and light so it's incredibly addictive @alteregosg

Spotted a couple of Japanese taitais tabao-ing these strong fragrant curry chicken, I stopped and joined the queue at Fu Xiang Kitchen (located at Food Junction, basement 1 of Great World City).

The big poster at the stall claims that they have Bishan's best curry chicken which won an award. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

My mom cooks curry chicken so I have an idea how tedious and how long hours of effort is put into attaining flavourful, rich and creamy gravy, as well as getting that tender chicken meat that falls right off from the bones. Fu Xiang Kitchen nailed it! ๐Ÿ˜™ By food court standards, this is probably the best curry chicken that impressed me.

Atlas is a great pitstop for coffee if you're on the go (they use a blend of Guatemalan and Brazilian beans from Two Degrees North Coffee Co.) or for long brunches with friends โ€” just be sure to swing by early to snag a seat on weekends. For a downright comforting meal, go for the Creamy Mushrooms on Sourdough ($12) โ€” a generous heap of mushrooms cooked with a splash of white wine and sundried tomatoes, which you must pair with the silky smooth Scrambled Eggs ($3 to add on, totally worth it). The ATLAS Super-Bowl ($17) loaded with toasted quinoa, beautifully oven-roasted squash and zucchini as well as shimeiji mushrooms is satisfying, yet light enough to not warrant a food coma after. If you still have space, you might be tempted by the irresistible pancakes, but we recommend the Mixed Berries Compote Waffles ($12.50) instead. They are similar in taste but the latter is lighter and more affordable.

Helmed by classically trained French chef Christophe Lerouy, his eponymous restaurant in Stanley Street is fast becoming one of the most celebrated openings. The most value-for-money way to experience his cooking is to book in for the Weekday Lunch Set ($38 for three courses; $55 for five courses) โ€” the Burpple community has nothing but praise for the dishes served. Chef Lerouy's finesse is evident in both the food's flawless execution as well as flavour pairings. Dishes that have the community waxing lyrical include the mindblowing combination of hamachi with yellow curry sauce, the delicate poached Japanese oyster in comte beurre blanc, and a bacon and chocolate petit four. You'll have to try it to believe it.

The diced lobsters came in chunks and were really fresh! The sourdough toast was grilled to perfection, crispy but not charred. It can get gelat after a while so i recommend that you share this dish, definitely a must order!
