The combination of creamy and nutty hummus with aromatic spiced lamb mince was simply amazing. Enjoyed with Lavash, a fluffy and crispy balloon bread, it was a flavourful start. The Falafel were fluffy and light; and packed with herbs and spices.
Red Ruby Coconut was delightfully delicious. The red rubies had a nice gel covering the crunchy water chestnuts. Served with creamy coconut ice cream that contained coconut bits, it was refreshing, creamy and satisfying.
Tom Yum Soup with Seafood was creamy and a tad bit fiery but manageable. It was spicy, sour, sweet and savoury that it felt incredibly warm and comforting having it on a rainy day.
The classic Thai Mango Salad had chunks of pomelo that burst with juice, crunchy nuts and a sweet, sour and spicy dressing. It was refreshing with just enough spicy kick to whet an appetite.
A festive drink, the Pandan Cloud Latte was delicious and worth every calories. The taste of Pandan in the foam was light yet distinct, and its sweetness was just nice and balanced by the chocolatey profile of the coffee.
The outlet-exclusive udon had in-house cured duck breast atop a bed of udon slathered in rose sauce. It felt like pasta with the taste of the tomato and cream sauce, but it was overall heavy and jelak as the udon was thick and floury
A combination of churros, waffles and fried chicken thigh. The Chuffles was crisp and fluff but was like usual waffles. Perhaps dusting it with cinnamon and sugar could have made a diff. The fried chicken ticked all boxes - spicy, smoky, sweet and tender juicy.
the Dark Chocolate Mousse tasted like a Kinder Bueno. It had the nuttiness and bits of crunch from the hazelnuts, and rich and creamy texture from the chocolate mousse. Overall a subtly rich and sweet dessert.
A tentaliser best enjoyed with hands like eating ribs. The corns were seasoned with paprika, cumin, aioli and grilled perfectly before being sprinkled with grated feta and chopped herbs. The result: A flavourful and addictive plate of juicy, smoky, savoury and tangy corn ribs.
A new kid on the Tanjong Pagar stretch lined up with Korean restaurants serving up comfort Thai food. The Tom Yum Mama is a signature dish served in a bubbling pot filled with prawns, mussels, minced meat, noodles and runny eggs simmered in a tom yum broth. The 1 person portion was just nice for two ladies. It was warm and comforting for a rainy day though the broth could be spicier.
My personal fav - the Nara Sake Kasu is an ice cream made from sake lees. It was floral, fragrant and refreshing, and punctuated with mellow, peppery tones from the black pepper.
The housemade cheesecake has a smooth creamy texture enriched by a lovely boozy tang of the red wine sauce.
