Promotion Meal So 4 fingers was running a promotion to gain market feedback on their new product. Not sure if the burger is new but the chicken munchies was something I’ve not seen before . Sandwiched in between the buns is a crispy thick chicken thigh that is marinated with their signature soy glaze. There’s also nacho cheese - so the picture actually showed nacho cheese In a container which I thought was supposedly for me to dip my chicken munchies in but the cheese came as a sauce on top of the chicken thigh. While the burger was good, the munchies were a huge high disappointment. Through freshly fried and crispy, it was totally tasteless and so very bland. The powder coating seemed like the kimchi powder but it didn’t help at all. I didn’t go for a second piece after the first. Perhaps if I had the nacho cheese dip, things could have been better ?? Nonetheless, you will get to receive a $5 voucher if you purchase one of their two existing promotion and provide your feedback to the staff when they come to you.

12pc Winglet And Drumlets Gangnam Chicken 12 PC combo (with 2 seaweed fries and 2 coke)- $21 on deliveroo excluding delivery charge) The chicken were well marinated and still crispy upon arrival. Satisfied and really finger licking good!

Aburi Cheese [$6.50] × Chilli Crab [$6.50] The takoyakis here are made fresh to order, and eating them warm really makes a difference! I prefer the chilli crab one, as the chilli crab topping tastes real and the chilli wasn't too spicy. The aburi cheese was a little bland than expected? But overall still worth a try if you like cheese!

1 For 1 Tako Was looking for a quick snack on burpple app and found this at B4 of ION. The 1-for-1 offer is irresistible. We had the Aburi and Chilli crab tako. I personally prefers the Aburi, chilli crab is a bit too rich for me. $6.90 for 6pcs of Tako is kinda overpriced. I wouldn't consider if not for the 1-for-1 deal.

Fun And Tasty The chilli crab had lots of meat and a little spice. I personally prefer a bit of sweet to balance. The cheese is classic, well melted and comforting. They did a good job with it. A steal with Burpple beyond.

Green Queen ($20.50++) Possibly the least refined ramen in town, but quite satisfying, After Red and Black Kings, this time I tried Green Queen. With cheese and bacon, it’s a bit like pesto pasta with soup. If you’re afraid to mess up your white T-shirt and don’t mind looking a bit ridiculous, they would give you a bib.

Butao King ($15.90++) Tonkatsu broth ramen. There wasn't a lot of options on the menu. Perhaps i ordered the non spicy version so there wasn't any sauce. I didn find anything special about the ramen.

Ramen Nagi🍜 Went to Ramen Nagi last week and ordered a Red King (chef recommended toppings) and added an egg!😇 Ramen was pretty okay for $20 and it was very filling😅 Overall ratings 7.5/10!🔥

(#01-30) Unforgettable Carrot Cake The best carrot cake at bukit merah view. It's eggy and flavourful and with the right amount of radish as well. The carrot cake is so soft and mushy, like eating lontong. Truly unforgettable.

(#01-46) 鱼之家 Yu Zhi Jia BBQ Sambal Stingray @$12 portion The stingray here is damn solid. The sambal was damn shiok and taste really good. Stingray was definitely fresh. Will definitely return for this again

Golden Baked Tapioca Kueh Saw people mentioned this Golden Baked Tapioca Kueh from this stall called the Mr Bakery. And I could immediately spot this when I’m at the front of the stall, because of it attractive colour of gold. It was said to have baked for 1.5 hours without flour. Good to eat it as soon as possible, which you would enjoy the rice and flavourful texture.

Chocolate Swirl ($4.50), Long Black ($4.50), Nitro Cold Brew ($6) Go to place in the East for coffee and bakes 🙌🏻 Today I had a sip of my dining companion’s nitro cold brew and am sold to get it the next time we come. The smoothness and in her words “nuttiness” of the brew was very pleasant and a steal for the price tag IMHO.

Unagi Soba A bowl of hearty soba noodle but the soup is on the slightly saltier side. So if you prefer less salty stuff, probably not this dish for you.

Ondeh Ondeh Not just the ordinary ondeh ondeh but QQ ondeh ondeh made with sweet potatoes and filled with flavour bursting gula meleka. Just 2 dollars for a box of 4 plump ondeh ondeh. So glad to get my ondeh ondeh fix here today 🥰.

Ku Chai Kueh A traditional Teochew dumpling that steamed with crystal like chewy skin, filled with chives and dried shrimps.

Kueh Bingka One of the Nyonya kuih featuring a semi-soft and chewy texture.

Unagi Liver Order the donburi which include Ungai Liver. It tasted like squid to me which I would say it is not bad and something you don't see in a restaurant often. The Umaki egg is good but the Unagi is being chopped into pieces which I hope that it remain intact in a piece instead. Generally a good meal.

HITSUMABUSHI Unagi is tender with slight chewy bite; thinly coated with unagi sauce & charcoal-grilled to perfection with smoky taste & slight crisp from the sauce; sat on top a bed of soft & fluffy Japanese rice; came with chopped spring onions, freshly grated wasabi, yellow pickled radish, seaweed soup & a pot of light & flavorful broth for the rice; satisfying bowl of unagi rice worth a try..

Unagi Donburi Unagi Donburi Feature thicker sliced chunks unagi, which allows to taste the natural flavour of the eel meat more. Every bite is heaven to bite into the beautifully char smoky sweet skin & then the tender plumpness within. Highly recommended! Best. Unagi. Ever. With such a great dining experience, I am very sure I will be back again soon.

If you love both food and pets this #sgcafe will be the best combo. 😄 They dun charge entry fee and no restrictions on minimum order or anything like that. Surprised that their lasagne (chicken) tasted so good, the texture is just right, the sauce is not too cheesy and go very well with right amt of tomatoes base. Just keep wanting for anth bite; hope the portion can be bigger ($16.90++). The waffles ($10.30++) was crispy yet felt that it needed more flavour. Ice creams, durian and strawberry short cake flavour, so-so. The food went down very quickly and not noticeable cos busy admiring at doggies. 🐩🐕🐶 forget take pic of dogs food. Excited and busy feeding them. 😂 recommend to buy the stick thingy with cheese dip ($8.90++) can tear into smaller pieces and feed all of them easily without a mess. had my first proper canele experience: crunchy caramelised exterior and soft custardy inside. two flavours that left an impression in me were ondeh ondeh and raspberry; the raspberry one was a balance of sweet and sour and should be good with a cup of hot tea! these caneles at @lecaneledorsg come in three sizes: cocktail, medium, grande. a grande one might overwhelm a bit but the cocktail and medium ones are good for snacks or after-meal desserts. . 📍302 beach road, #01-06, the concourse, singapore 199600 (but these babies are making their way to takashimaya food basement from 8th jan onwards 😏) . thank you @cweizhi and qim from @lecaneledorsg for the treats!

Canelé On(deh) Point! What's better than introducing Singapore to canelés? Introducing a localised flavour with it! The Ondeh Ondeh has a sweet pandan taste that is sure to be a crowd pleaser, especially for the local masses. Goes perfectly with a cup of tea. 😋 Baked fresh and in-house, the elegant canelés here have a really solid textural balance with a crisp and firm shell and soft and dense interior. This is part of a hosted meal at @lecaneledorsg.

Coconut Tart And Lemongrass Tea Yesterday once more ..... A pretty sad Sunday for me as today spells the end of Dong Po’s journey after a good six years . Have been back to the cafe almost every other day since i knew about their impending closure . Managed to pack my rum cakes and coconut tarts back home to savour .... Got the refreshing Lemongrass tea today for the sweltering weather and the usual old fashioned coconut tart . I will miss this familiar space and hopefully they will be back somewhere , somehow .

Official last 2 days to visit and say goodbye to @dongpocolonialcafe if you haven’t. They closed their doors this Sunday at 24 Mar. Really light and yummy Apple and Aloe Vera cake and wobbly bread pudding - omg I’m sad now that this would be the first and last time I would be having this. But oh well, but late then never.

Pandan Coconut Butter Cake Back at my hiding place at Dong Po colonial cafe. Apart from my usual order of coconut tart , I was happy to see another of my favourites - the Pandan coconut cake on display . So fragrant and moist with the natural flavour of pandan shining through and a little desiccated coconut to add some texture amidst the soft and tender cake . And at 1.50 per slice for so much love and effort - what affordability in this day and age where cafes are charging 7 to 8 dollars for cake slices that are mainly churned out in bulk from central kitchens ( or factories I call them ...) This reminds me of a headline that I read somewhere on why would people pay 15 dollars for brunch but less willing to pay for a plate of wanton Mee which sometimes requires much more work , effort and behind the scenes preparation . Perfect afternoon treat with a cup of their fabulous Kopi to watch the world go by .... I hope places like Dong Po will live on forever ... because it just preserves a past of Singapore....
