Ayam masak merah, sayur lodeh, kangkong. I had a craving for nasi padang. It's not the best but it did the job.

Average at best for being pretty much uninspiring; again chili seems to be forgotten in the carrot cake and there seems to be a disproportionate portion of egg to the carrot cake; more eggy overall. The lack of "cai po" also makes it feel pretty boring and monotonous as well.

Not sure if they actually forgot to include the chili in or expect the patrons to add the chili provided on the side by themselves; informed them to include chili but somehow all the orders came without chili. Overall, pretty salty and lacks sweetness hence a little one-dimensional, but there is still a hint of wok hei lingering around.

Dining somewhere nearby but not opposite because we are a little tired of having the same things for a while.

Sadly the Ngo Hiang here didn't quite make the cut; all the condiments were cut up before frying — while not being greasy, most of the condiments ended up pretty dry and overly crunchy while lacking the light crispness it should have and being stiffer than usual. Even the chili sauce felt rather flat and rather lackluster overall, lacking the tang and comes with an underwhelming kick of spiciness whilst being a tad watered down.

The crispness and umami of the chicken is not in doubt but out of frame is the belachan Chili that really gives this dish its lively, reeking soul.
