First time having ยำถั่วพู (yum tua pu) and I'm blown away by how delicious it is. There's wonderful complexity in this seemingly simple salad of finely sliced wing beans tossed in roasted chilli paste, toasted coconut, lime, tamarind juice and fish sauce. Savour the melding of sweet, spicy, sour flavours along with the toothsome chewiness of the beans and shredded coconut. The fresh prawns and oozy soft boiled egg pile on even more umami to the already tasty dish.

What a bangin' dish. A spectacularly cooked seabass that's been deep-fried till it's crispy outside yet tender, moist and flaky within. The inviting aroma of green peppercorns, spring onion, bell peppers and garlic permeates the fish as well. I couldn't stop scooping up heapfuls of the crispy garlic bits straight into my mouth either.

When in Bangkok, you can't go wrong with the ubiquitous grilled pork neck. This one's excellent. Pink, tender and exuding a hint of smokiness, it goes great with the garlicky chilli sauce provided.
